i think thats fair. Joe tends to win the second half of fights when his opponents tire, which wouldn't be the case against Marvin. I think it's fair to say that Hagler would win a close but clear decision. maybe 7-5 or 8-4. If he fought 10 times, Marvin would win 6 or 7. just my opinion though. Calzaghe has the stuff to beat Marvin if MArvin was not at his best.
Has Calzaghe ever been tired in a 12 round fight? I don't know if it is fair or not to say he couldn't handle 15 rounds.
Depends when they fought for me Calzaghe was better 8 years ago but the size difference would also be significant. Calzaghe is what 6'0"-6'1" where as hagler was 5'9" and unlike Hearns he wasn't someone who got bigger with age but is naturally bigger. Then again Hagler was awesome I would have loved to have seen this fight.
Yep, Hagler would not only have greater power, but he would have double the power of Joe! Just messing with you man.
It's no biggie. I'm right now undecided about this. In the begining I picked Hagler by TKO, but now I'm not so sure.
you've mentioned power twice - also a young Calzaghe was not the light puncher we see today but actually was heavy handed. Lets not forget he knocked down Eubank who to quote Nigel Benn had a 'granite chin'.
Orginally it was a typo, but I think I'm going to let stay. Maybe Hagler has twice the power. On a serious note, even when Calzaghe was younger his power was good, but I believe it was never up to par with Hagler's.
