Depends who's doing the rating. Calzaghe has always been an excellent fighter.

from what i can remember it was a breathing machine that simulated high altitude air conditions. not sure of what else was going on.

I wouldnt be afraid to work with Conte. He has his past and is now under the microscope by plenty of people to make sure he is not up to his funny business again.

People who pick Ward in this thread back it up with reasonable logic and damn good reasons why they pick Ward. People who pick Calzaghe in this thread back it up by slandering Ward. What jackasses. It says more about you idiots than it does about Ward.

Calzaghe would kick Ward's cheating arse!

Ward refused to fight in the tournament unless he had all his fights in his hometown. Ward's personal referee claims that head butts are legal, as long as Ward is the one using them. Under the rules, Ward should have been disqualified. Bute will knock Ward out.

Is there a link to Joe or Enzo confirming a comeback against anybody, or is this still speculation?

If this happened, I'd have to favor Ward just because he's incredibly gifted and beating someone like him off a long layoff when you're no spring chicken is a big ask.

If you pit the versions of each when they beat Kessler against each other? That's more of a pick'em, in which Calzaghe may be able to successfully ply his slap-and-tickle-evade-rinse-repeat on Ward thanks to slightly better footwork/speed. I do think that Ward would land some good punches (especially as a more stationary Kessler was able to) but Joe's chin was never a concern and Ward's an accumulation stopper at 168 if anything.

If Joe came out of retirement now to fight Ward, Ward would beat his ass! If Calz was still fighting and still active today and stayed the hell away from coke or whatever he had his nose in since he retired, he would have schooled Ward. Nobody can learn or use a game plan how to beat Calzaghe, he`d had to do that on fight night! and i think Ward is still to green to overcome something like that.

Ward has got to beat other opponents than a previously defeated Kessler to be better than Calzaghe. He hasn`t done enough yet,atm i think Calzaghe would outbox him.
