Joey Vegas looked great at times against Miranda

This defeat hurts Vegas' resume, which has to take our view of Nathan Cleverley down a notch or two...

But given that, as we have proven in this thread, Pavlik losing to Martinez and Bute beating Miranda negatively affect the resume of every fighter in history, the actual relative effect is negated. You see? :think

This means that Mike Tyson really was a shower of ****.

He lost to Holyfield, who lost to Ruiz, who lost to Jones, who lost to Hopkins - who took Pavlik's 0.

I'm more concerned about the dent this has on Roberto Duran's record.

Now that Pavlik has been exposed as a plodding, one-dimensional, mid-Western, over-hyped, inbred, redneck tomato-can, Hopkins' win over him really isn't all that, exposing Hopkins as a cherry-picking, ducking, unsportsmanlike fraud. In turn, this means that Williams Joppy losing to him is a disgrace, and so the man he beat (Roberto Duran) can be seen to have been exposed as a filthy, indisciplined quitter with no heart and no skill.

Honestly, after all this, I think we need to have a serious debate about whether Duran can even be considered an ATG any more.

We need to re-assess Sugar Ray Leonard too. How could he have been outpointed in his prime by a blown up lightweight, who as you have correctly analysed, was in fact a fraud...

In conclusion: Carl Froch = ATG number one.

I also feel Robinson needs to be moved down the ranks... he lost to joey maxim, who lost to Arcie moore- who was beat by ali who lost to berbick,w ho lost to tYson, wwho lost to Holy, who lost to Ruiz, who lost to Jones, who lost to hopkins, who lost to taylor, who lost to Pavlik, who lost to martinez.....

On a serious note Richard Williams floored the future linear middleweight champion of the world twice and gave him a very, very good fight.

I think we the fans have got to re-assess the entire concept of greatness after this. We've been allowing these fraudsters to pass themselves of as great for too long now just because they have the courage to go up against the very best fighters apparently available. There may well have never been a great boxer in the history of the sport :nut

Just for reference has Calzaghe plumbed the depths where Ricky Hatton now resides or is he floor above
