It was a bit over the top, and he did it too often so it started to lose its comedic value, but it was all in good fun.

His showboating is just too much. I find it irritating. It was ecstatic when Roy gave him an uppercut. Served him right.

Yep, and that's exactly why I think he would beat Dawson. Dawson takes rounds off, stretches of rounds off. Joe won't let you do that and it just wears you down, not to mention the effect of his shots landing (the body shots slowed Roy down, and Joe's punches caused the cut and swollen eye).

Roy and BHop looked great/good in other recent fights. Just not against Joe. That's isn't a coincidence.

For Dawson to really compete with Joe he would have to fight as he did during the rough sequences with Johnson for an entire fight with Calz. That's not how Dawson fights, nor how he likes to fight. Could Dawson win fighting like that? Maybe, but I don't think so against Joe.

As far as tale of the tape goes, Calz and Johnson are both 5'11". Johnson has two more inches of reach (75 vs 73). Dawson is 6'3" with 76.5 reach. He's taller and longer, but not that much more so. Hopkins is like 6'1" with a 75 reach, to give some comparison.

    Nonesense.

    Roy's a showboater.

    And sometimes, so is Joe.

I didn't detect any disrespect in either one's antics tonight.

In fact, in a way, they were BOTH winners .

    About $18M each.

Joe alluded to that at the post fight interview.

"We put this on ourselves 50-50" or words to that effect.

Both of them had a bit of fun.

Joe peeking up between Roy's gloves was funny.

Did anyone else find it strange that no grease was used on Roy's eye?
Did he have the same cutman as Judah who used lots of grease and the blood stopped?

The cutman was a doctor who apparently knows little of what he/she was doing. On HBO, Kellerman interviewed this person during one round for the express purpose of making the cut guy look like a fool for being on the wrong side of Roy to be able to work on the cut. Really poor job by this person.
