Many were saying that Froch was going to be able to ruff up Ward. Whilst Froch does have a punch but he isn't a real physically strong guy.
Barrera is GGG's student. If Barrera beats Ward then he has only GGG to thank. Ward has his reputation on the line because if he loses to Barrera he loses to GGG. Considering we have literal footage of GGG teaching Barrera everything he knows on clinching and how clinching will play an obvious part in this fight it would basically be GGG sending his student to fight for him because the opponent isn't worth his time.
Ward is a super hyped fighter he really is. If "hype" means being given far more credit than is deserved than Ward's picture should be in the dictionary under the word hype. P4P my ass. Kovalev is an absolute gimme to beat Ward, a 1 inch putt. Beterbiev kills him also. Barrera might even expose him. I didnt see Ray Leonard or Ali take any BS warm up type stuff. Khan has been inactive for awhile and he is going back in against Canelo. Ward will never be ready for Kovalev no more than Pascal was. Ward is a hyped phoney and he is going to get his ass kicked if he goes up against Kovalev. Kovalev is going to hurt Ward. Wards fanboys are going to be heartbroken.
He could, and I'm interested to see what success he can have with the jab, but I fully expect Ward to win comfortably. If he has a real rough go, I think he might reconsider staying put at 175 to face Kovalev.
