Yes he was UFC champ, but he was givin the UFC champioship fight by DW. Yes he won the belt, but who cares ? did you see him against Carwin ? Did you see him against Velasquez ? Fedor would **** HIM UP in no time. Exactly like Achilles was explaining, Fedor come to close the show. He will hurt you and bring you down. Yes Brock is a freak of nature, but he is NOT a fighter. Great athlete, but not a fighter. I hope the JDS fight will finally close the chapter on Brock Lesnar career !
hurrr durr brock got no talent he won by size ben fatwell could even beat him durrr Brock always has a chance, you'd be a moron to count him out of any fight. That being said, Fedor would lay him out like never before. He wouldn't be hurt, he'd be out cold on the floor. No stoppage required.
I can see Fedor winning this matchup by KO, Sub, or Stoppage. I really can't see how Brock would win. Hell, I can't even see how Brock can make it competitive. Fedor has: Experience, Explosiveness (although, admittedly he has slowed down a bit in the past year), KO Power, Technique, Resiliency, and a Good Chin. Brock has: Size, Brute Strength, Wrestling, Speed. Fedor surpasses him in almost every department.
The only reason people want to see these two fight anyway is because lesnar is big. away his size and no one would want to see this fight
Someone with Lesnar's size and power does always have a shot but this seems like a terrible style matchup for him. Fedor's very direct standing and capable of testing Brocks resolves/chin with his first punch and he's also very hard to control on the ground while presenting a big submission danger. As Werdum showed I think the key to beating Fedor is having high level finishing ability which I don't think Brock does, guys like Randy, Mir and Carwin having a heart attack are not the toughest opposition to put away. Brock simply doesnt have the submission game to be comfortable creating distance on the ground in order to land big shots, espeically given that Fedor pulls off the armbar from the bottom better than anyone else in the division.
Fedor has incredible balance and takedown defence. If taken down, Early when the freak has a full tank of gas, he would sub Brock as easily as Hong-Man Choi. Brock is oddly fast for a man of his size, but off his back Fedor can sweep you with the agility of a big cat. Standing up Fedors jazzy style, with his Chang-esque feints and ability to time the right hand, would see him spark Brock cold. If not, Brock hits the deck and gets subjected to as much of the greatest g'n'p of all time as he can take. Not much I reckon, he'd get decimated. Fedor would batter him as quickly as he did Gary Goodridge, without the soccer kicks. Also, how bad would Brock have been beaten by Cain if the fight was under Pride rules? Cain had ample oppurtunities to lay waste to Brock with head kicks. Brock is lucky he came onto the scene when he did, he might well have joined Prode ten years ago (and been decimated there as well) I actually like Brock, but in terms of him having any feasible shot against Fedor, no. Fedor looks more slight then he used to though, anyone agree?
