I can see Pac being very very visibly hurt if Cotto lands just a couple liver shots.

he had the ring belt at 140 for 3-4 years, how can he not have been world class? of course he was world class. he was fighting for and winning world titles. there's a difference between world class and elite (pac, pbf etc).

Can't go into Clottey/Torres or whatever mode, none of these guys are as fast as Pac, throw punches in combinations all the way to the 12th and have great movement/defense. It will be easier to land for Pac than Cotto and I'm not buying all the indirect hints from members about how if Cotto lands it will be over. Cotto doesn't have one punch KO power anyway and Pac has a good chin that can handle punches when needed to.

    This.

I feel that team Pac will NOT aggressively go for a KO win. They will fight this fight ala ODLH and a bit like the Diaz fight.

Pile up points, hit and get out of punching range, and slowly break down Cotto.

If the KO comes, it comes. But they will not force it.

Pac has not been a true brawler since he was a featherweight. Maybe flyweight, even.

He doesnt go toe to toe against opponents ala Gatti, because he doesnt have a superhuman chin.

He moves in and out, throws quick 1,2, or 3 punches and then moves away. he almost never exchanges punches now. Especially against bigger and bigger opponents.

HAtton sucks, don't let that win get to our heads.Cotto is more schooled nice jab, timing, solid right, left hook, keeps his hand up, blocks punches, moves his head a bit, slips punches, good countering. But I still think PAc will be too fast he will be hitting at angles, going in and out to the side of Cotto and landing good solid punches if Margo can land on Cotto I just do not see how Cotto able to defend well against Pac..

As impressive as Pac's speed is, he isn't lightning boy, and Cotto faced fast boxers with handspeed similar to Pac (Judah and Mosely). I don't think Pacquiao's speed will discourage Cotto at all.
