After all the talk of pac or mayweather taking a fight with martinez it got me thinking if cotto would be a good enough at this stage of his career to take out martinez? I personally think martinez is overated(3rd or 4th p4p lists dont make me laugh) I take cotto to win it what you guys think?

Only the absolute worlds greatest (pac/floyd) can beat Cotto. (margarito cheated we all know it).

Of course he could beat Martinez

    No.

    Martinez ends his career.

I like Cotto so I would rather he didn't fight Martinez.

Why would you not fancy his chances or think he get retired my martinez? Why is martinez rated so high by people? High enough to brush of a great fighter like cottos chances

Too big, too fast, too strong and very skilled. Cotto is too small even for 154, a better question is how the **** is Cotto gonna deal with a MW, who is bigger, faster and stronger than him??

Before the Margo incident I'd give him a chance... Have yet to see anything to suggest he'd beat him since then.

    :good

Neither way I don't like the idea of him fighting Martinez. But if he does then Cotto will once again prove to everyone that he is by far the #1 bad ass in boxing. RESPECT bitches!

Bigger, slightly faster, not stronger and not as skilled! Cotto has fought and beaten better comp and proven his toughness! Cotto left hook to the body is a thing of beauty and he can easily fight off the back foot! Win or lose he would tell us how good martinez is, and I give cotto a very good chance in this fight! My money would be on him anyway

Def not right now,I think Cotto needs to get a couple of more fights at 154 and get used to being trained by stuart before he even thinks about fighting the best middleweight in the world

Very winnable fight for Cotto, if Martinez was half as good as poeple think he would've destroyed Cintron, while I do agree he was robbed in that fight, Cintron none the less had some moments.
