    Ha!

    WTF??

    I watched his entire career.

And to my knowledge, he only fought around a dozen world level fighters, in his entire career.

    Not great fighters.

    Just world level fighters.

Most of them were B and C level guys.

Joe has gotten horribly overrated these last few years.

He really does have a poor resume.

He’d fought no world level fighters before Eubank, and the majority of his 21 title defences were against non world level opponents.

Even though Floyd never fought a prime ATG, this comparison is simply laughable.

    Their resumes are simply incomparable.

No need to think for even a second Georgie.

    It’s an embarrassing comparison.

I was there to witness Joe’s career.

    A great fighter for sure.

But those WBO title defences were painful.

I genuinely don’t believe he fought more than a dozen world level fighters in his entire career.

His resume is awful for such a perceived ATG.

It couldn’t be done even if you’d taken copious amounts of LSD.

Whilst I suspect I hold Calzaghe's resume in slightly higher regard than you do, Loudon, I agree with you that stating a credible argument can be made for him having a deeper resume than Mayweather is laughable.

    Of course it’s laughable.

Honestly, Joe only fought around 10-12 world level fighters in his ENTIRE career.

    I’m serious too.

Of course Calzaghe has the deeper resume, it shouldn't even be a discussion.

Oh wait, you meant Jr ? Then Calzaghe's resume gets thrashed.

The word "credibly" entails an answer of no.

Well, so to expand on my answer - No and it's not close. Maybe one could try to argue that Calzaghe has better single best wins, if one rates Kessler and believes that B-Hop was still close to his prime - but in terms of depth, Floyd is head and shoulders above and was fighting consistantly higher level of opposition, higher caliber of contenders.
Joe lacks depth despite his large number of defences. He fought in a weak era of Super Middleweights and had a lot of gimmick defences. Rick Thornberry, Will Mcintyre, that German fella whom He fought twice etc.

How on earth could that be the case?

Going into the fight with Joe, Roy hadn’t had a top level win in exactly 5 years.

Actually, it was 5 years to the day.
