Danny isn't retired. He's at 154. Thurman is still active as well, just injured (go figure).

Boots has plenty of options in his own division, he just doesn't want to go in that direction because they aren't the biggest names in the sport. That's his and most of these new fighters issue. They are fresh in the game gunning for legends who are on their way out. Thurman, Crawford, Spence, Porter, Garcia, Brook, etc....would have all loved to have shared the ring with the Floyd's and Manny's early in their careers......

Boots has Rocha, Ellis, Cobbs, Stanionis, Benn, Norman Jr., Crowley, Barrios, etc....in his own division. And they are a part of his generation. That doesn't even count the guys who will be most likely moving up from 140lbs like Haney, Ryan (whenever he gets his shyt together), Teofimo, etc.... I mean, he LOVES to fighter former lightweights moving up so I'm sure he'll be find with that.
