Grant was never that good to begin with. I couldn't believe that all the U.S. mags were hyping him the way they were in the late 90s, particularly after Golota exposed his questionable punch resistance. Wasn't the least bit surprised that Lewis annihilated him.

Since Grant was NOWHERE NEAR as good as people thought ten years ago, and his chin appears to have become even worse, the possibility of his doing ANYTHING other than serving as cannon fodder for up and comers is slim or none. More than likely, none.

If you lose to Dominic Guinn it doesn't bode well for success at the top of this division as Guinn is basically a gatekeeper at best. However, could have been an off night, and Grant is still 6'7 and atheletic, not too old (tho close), and the division still sucks.

Its obvious the school holidays have started for some kids ay Scurla? Its a hot day so no doubt the better looking, popular kids are out enjoying the sun & popping their cherrys in bushes. The ugly ones come on here trolling. And the government wonder why we have such a problem with childhood obesity.

Grant seems to be decent guy, but I am afraid he just started boxing too late. He is 6'7 (Wlad is oficially half inch shorter), and for someone that huge he is really making no use of his size.

Wlad and Lewis are also big guys with somewhat suspect chins, so they adapted proper strategy and style - Grant did not. He was happy to trade shots with shorter guys with better chins (like Guinn), instead of keeping them at safe distance with jab.

And if you have bad chin combined with bad defence the result will be always the same - once you meet an opponent above some level you will get KO'd. Golota showed it, and yet there were some believing Grant had any chance against Lewis. Lewis destroyed him, and so did McCline. Even Guinn was able to do that.

Well, he started boxing late so maybe he is still able to learn something... but I wouldn't bet on it.

Grant mentally was a very weak fighter. Atlas destroyed what was left of his fragile pysche. He was athletically gifted but unfortunately because he was a laterstarter he just couldnt put them together. He was thrown in way to deep vs a seasoned Lennox, broke his ankle in spectacular fashion against Mccline and then went back to wallowing in obscurity trying to find his confidence. Atlas was the entirely wrong trainer to bring it out of him. The man was an idiot.I believe he has a fight penned in for later this year but Grant is a spent force. Dam shame he was such a nice guy and the only fighter iv ever known who`s said to everyone one of his opponents when they touch gloves "God bless you".
