Can Sergio Martinez at the age of 37 still become an ATG or too late

He tried to defend his full belt for the majority of 2009 to no avail and wanted to fight Forrest for it long before that. Given how decrepit every beltholder's resume was at 154 at the time, I don't think it's unfair to call him legit.

He would need to beat ward, mayweather, Canelo Cotto winner, golovkin if he cleans out the euro's at 160, and then a young hungry beast that appears at 160-168

    Possible maybe likely not

Add B-Hop in one of the positions and he still doesn't make the cut.

I think he can, he's a freak of an athlete and is in better shape than most fighters (if not all). But let's be clear, the odds are certainly stacked against him. One loss before retirement would pretty much eliminate any chance of being an ATG.

Are you trying to imply he needs to fight a supermiddleweight? If so he has said he would, but Ward would have to man up and do what Dawson just did and drop weight. Even Ward said they offered him 164. We all know Ward is never going to get in there with Sergio at mw or 164 though. Does not have what it takes.

Name dropping. More than half of those guys would be bewildered by him. Speed matters, sorry.

    He still got time.

But Floyd wont fight him, so if he wants that he needs to go up and fight Ward, because Gennady Golovkin, Dimitry Pirog, Daniel Geale and Mack the Knife won't get him there.
