Was he saying that he could have knocked his opponent out in round 5 but wanted to show his fans a patient attack rather than a quick KO? Also why were they gonna cancel the fight? GGG's patience is gonna take him very far. He has power, balance and a thinking mind. He'll go far.

I THINK he was saying that it wasn't really a great performance, because he was sick, but didn't cancel the fight because of his fans.

It's probably all true. Unfortunately it came off as a little egotistical, since Rosado had just given the performance of his life and earned eveyrone's respect in the process.

Blame it on Golovkin's weakness in understanding the english language question. He obviously had a lot of respect for Rosado himself.

I wonder what sickness Golovkin was suffering from? I think he did give credit to his opponent by saying he is 'a good boy' several times but then said his opponent was good at dodging/moving a lot.

Even a cold will **** you up in the ring. He suggested he could have finished sooner without it. He seemed to say his power was there still, which I inferred to mean a little mental fog was to blame.

was he saying something about either him or Rosado trying to end the fight with one punch? anyways, Rosado was 1/2 of that fight, ****ing moved up in weight against a guy that hits like a ****ing truck, speaks English AND Spanish(I think) and he doesn't even get an interview or a chance to address all his fans. At least he interrupted GGG's interview and we got to see them give each other respect

Max shouldn't use such big words on guys who barley speak English.

GGG said Rosado was a good boy. That means Rosado was a good fighter, tried hard etc

"good boy" = tough young opponent
"lucky punches" = didn't throw his best combinations
GGG didn't make that big of a deal about his sickness, he even said his much to his mother on the phone.

I didn't get the whole fan thing though. Maybe he was apologizing to his fans for what he considered a sub-par performance.

You wouldn't know it from the interview tonight, but his english sounds likes it's improving from Seckbach videos I've seen. I think the big setting he was in, as well just having fought, made his english sound worse than it is.

I think he should get a translator instead of trying to put his words together, a fighter after a fight is dog tired and asking him difficult questions wouldn't get any clear answer.

What I got from his interview was that he was saying he could of finished him earlier, but he wasn't able to get his best punches off. Maybe it was partly to do with his being sick, but he quickly made it evident he wasn't trying to make excuses. He said he still felt strong, but Rosado was a tough guy. He seemed to be disappointed he couldn't do better, although I thought he did a tremendous job. He is one of those bad ass fighters that likes to fight for the fans and he wanted to perform better for them. I loved his performance and I am sure he made even more fans tonight.
