Yes. The most encouraging thing if you're an Izu fan is who they got as his last opponent.

The Fred Kassi fight was a fizzer when Kassi pulled the plug after a couple of rounds but what it showed is that Izu may actually have some money behind him to get the intermediate level fights he needs to develop his stamina & skills.

What he can't afford to do is jump straight back in with a top 10 guy b/c it will end the same way the Breazeale fight did.

Developed properly, he's a potential top 10 heavyweight.

That he nearly knocked Breazeale over coming in off a diet of cans tells you that.

I think it's way too early to right of Ugonoh, he fought a monumentally stupid fight against Breazeale. Even a huge puncher like AJ backed off when he realised he wasn't going to KO Breazeale early and settled down for a slow breakdown but Ugonoh ran head long into a fire by trading with Breazeale.

He just stopped Kassi in 2 who can be a tricky opponent who previously has only been stopped by Miller and Mansour and should of gotten decisions over Arreola and Breazeale in those losses.

I think he can still be a contender, just needs to be less reckless, try less to impress and just keep winning.

    Way too late at 32.

He wasted his prime in kickboxing.
