Spence Jr. is an exciting prospect. He comes to fight each time out, looking to do damage. Goes to the body frequently and with conviction. He usually just breaks his opponents down.

However... his defense is a bit leaky at times. A good counterpuncher with some pop could cause him problems. The kind of Chin he has will eventually determine how far he goes.

He doesn't need Pac. He's got a buffet right in front of him, whats left of 147. Putting aside his gyno, I don't see anyone at 147 near his level. 147 is full of ?'s, and he could clear the division out on his own.

Way too much hype about this kid, hasn't even beaten a top 10 guy yet fanboys think he's already the best in the division? Brook & Thurman would expose him.

I think he's good but he hasn't been tested at all, and I mean at all. Algieri had zero chance we all knew it, guy couldn't punch at 140 and he's fighting a strong 147er in spence.

Spence looked good but lets get a propective on Algieri.
A 140 lbs decent boxer with zero power who has moved up for better money at 147 lbs, beat Provodnikov (at 140) who's skills are very poor and gets beat by decent boxers.
Put down 6 times by Pacman who has not stopped anyone since 2009 and lost close decision to Khan who has shown little power at 147 lbs.
Algieri has basically fought 140 lb guys, his own weight, at 147lbs then goes up against a natural ww who has shown power and finally realises what its like to get hit by proper ww.
Spence has shown power, poise and skill so far against limited opposition but has he yet to show us if he can cope when chinned, put under pressure by world class boxers ie Brook, Porter, Thurman, hopefully in the next 6-12 months he'll get a real test maybe Vargas next.
