Do you not get what I am saying here? its not about what Baldomir did or what he didnt do, its simply about Canelos reaction when a fighter moves in on him.

Look at the Trout Rodriguez and Trout Cotto gifs as he moves in with Cotto, Cotto being defensive minded looking only for the back end shot causes Miguel to miss.

When Rodriguez is presented with the same move he times Trout and punches with him...

Thats exactly what Canelo does he times his man and punches with catching him in between shots, in other words its not about who Canelo did that to what its about is does Canelo have the right tools....

and the answer is yes he has the right tools if he uses them correctly he can win this fight, its a pick em fight, However the Trout Gifs also expose the fact that Trout doesnt have this mater defense people are talking about.

I like both guys here, still sway who I think will win, to me this fight comes down to who can adjust and re adjust... I cant pick a clear winner here honestly my mind says Trout, but when I look at how he was hit quite easily by a faded Cotto I cant help but to think the younger fresher bigger Canelo will have success nailing him....

you cant take anything from the baldomir fight because carlos didnt come to fight. you can look real good hitting a heavy bag. its the same with the cotto fight. miguel is simply too small at 154 to take anything out of austins win, especially when i have cotto going 2/6 at best against the top six jmw's(hes already 0-2 and wide UD losses at that).

imo, the fight will come down to who is the physically stronger guy because the edge canelo has in power is negated by what trout holds in size and reach. speed is equal and trout is more mobile. vargas backers all thought that fernando was going to be too strong for oscar and when that wasnt the case a substantial part of fernandos gameplan was no longer valid.

strength in the clinches and whoever can impose their will is going to win this fight because everything else has evened-out.

please, no more gifs on the baldomir ko.

thats simply canelo-nuthugging to anyone in the know.

No more gifs needed, we simply have the fight..... So your suggesting Canelo has no chance?

whoever is the physically stronger man in the clinches will win this fight because canelo has the advantage in power whereas trout has the advantage in reach, height and footwork. the speed difference will be determined by canelos ability to get inside and keep the fight inside where his shorter arms will be at an advantage or trouts ablilty to spin and push off canelo to keep the fight at a distance where his long jab and straight left will frustrate canelo.

now, if you read this for a second time and still formualte somewhere in your brain that im saying that canelo has no chance there is nothing more to say.

This is a compelling match up on so many levels. Reportedly Canelo is risking a huge payday with Mayweather. This is speculation for the most part though. Canelo/Mayweather would be no bigger next November than it is now. I guess that could be debated, but if they wanted to make the fight it could have simply happened now. I don't think Mayweather intended to fight him at all which is why they wouldn't commit. Don't give me the 'what if he loses bull ****. It would have been written into the contract that both had to win for the fight to happen. They were simply trying to play Canelo to bolster the May 4 card.

Trout's toughness can't really be underrated or overrated; it's still an unknown quantity. How many times did Cotto really belt him flush? Besides Cotto, none of his past opponents tell us anything (either because they are too slow to get through his defense ans catch him or don't have world class power...or both, like Rigo or that ham and eggs Aussie fella...)

To me this is a hazy match-up because I have no idea how Trout will handle Canelo's power and combinations. If he makes him miss and renders the point moot, he will have done his job and earned a decision (or get robbed, I guess). If Alvatez gets to him, then some questions get answered.

I'll give Trout the benefit of the doubt by counting him as mentally tough and determined from what I seen so far.

However he's definitely not perfect in toughness due to his shaky chin.

Cotto's right hand makes him do the Chad Dawson leg here. It didn't land on his chin nor was it the cleanest shot.

and cotto wasn't throwing it with bad intentions, when canelo throws it, his heavy hands make it seem like hes trying to take your head off..

    will play a big factor,

Canelo straight right, left hook to the body and head, and combos...the body work, I cannot wait!

maybe people just might consider how canelo is going to handle getting hit by a legit, in-his-prime jmw.
