without the knockdown(and if trout went on to win the seventh round after dominating the sixth) i cant see how anyone other than a nuthugger would think that canelo won the fight regardless of the scorecards.

i think that most rationale people saw the fight like the showtime commentators as well as how IB round-by-round scored the fight...a one point win for either man.

to put the words "dominated," "clearly won," and "schooled" with the canelo victory is "ignore list" material.

imo, trout said that he lost because he and haymon knew that he would have to win 9-3 on the cards and oultand canelo by a signifigant amount of punches(40+) to beat gbp's golden goose which he failed to do.

to my recollection stanley has never been on a crooked decision and look what dlh and gbp were able to do to him; trout down nine points(complete shutout including the extra point for the knockdown) after eight rounds in which austin arguably won the first, fifth, sixth and eighth rounds(outlanding canelo by twice as many shot in each of these rounds).
