well, the 39-year-old baldomir took that fight on just over one months notice and hadnt fought in close to a year.

    nice try, though.

and is that the same mosely that threw more punches against canelo in the championship rounds than he did against both paq and floyd...when he fought them at welterweight?

in fact, canelo only threw a total of 16 more punches than mosely in rounds 10-12.

Doesnt matter when you agree to a fight you leave all excuses out the door.... man had an Iron chin nobody expected Alvarez to knock him out like that Not bad for a 19 year old fighter who wasnt that experienced ...... I should look for an old Baldo Canelo thread and see what I can find

  3. Good thread BB I agree!

    Great breakdown.

Footwork is always key for me. Canelo does plant before he throws and will find few opportunities when Trout is standing still. I can see a scenario in which Canelo keeps re-setting his feet, preventing him from throwing his combos.

However, the kid packs some thunder downstairs and I'm interested to see if that takes the air out of Trout's tires (to use some Teddy Talk). The second half of the fight holds all the questions for me: Will Trout slow down and give Canelo a target? Will Canelo fade and watch the fight slip away?

All I hope for is if it goes to the cards we get honest judging, somehow I dont believe that will happen with GBP involved

A robbery in favor of Canelo won't affect his stardom one bit. GBP knows this.

If I see Gale von Hoye as a judge I'm going to be pissed. Nothing worse than getting amped up for a good fight and seeing that name.

Good breakdown by the thread starter. Would not be surprised at all if Trout wins this...I like his versatility. The pick for me though is Canelo. Agree with those who say he is improving fight by fight...I believe Canelo will have success countering Trout's jab with left hooks. Also think that Canelo will be the sharper puncher in exchanges and will dictate the pace because of this. Expect a good fight...but a slower pace. Canelo's pace.

the scorecard of gale van hoye...

    in texas...

with a gbp fighter(kirkland) that was clearly losing...

    on a gbp fight card.

im sure that trout and haymon know that there is a very high probablilty that gale van hoye will be a judge in this fight.

Gale also had Diaz wide over Paulie and another atrocious score I can't recall. Consistently 100% wrong.
