Jones was naturally far bigger than Canelo, 5`8 is far too short at heavyweight and no fighte with Canelo`s reach could beat a fighter the size of Ruiz, plus Canelo doesn`t have Roy`s movement to able to evade heavyweight punches.
Sorry but even Canelo knows that would be a step too far. Roy was a phenom at that point in his career, way quicker, way more powerful, also naturally bigger height, width and length wise. I rate Canelo highly but not prime Roy Jones Jr highly.
Canelo has no style to KO or outbox Ruiz. In some ways they are similar fighters, so bigger man should beat a smaller man. Thats my conclusion
