    Sure, blame everyone else.

How about taking on guys like Trout, Lara, Ward when he had the opportunity.

You've swallowed hook, line, and sinker from the HBO hype machine.

Can you explain weight classes to me please.

Why does Canelo have to be 160? 160 is the limit, Canelo can weigh 155 if he wants, it falls within the weight class, Golovkin can weigh up to 160, that's middleweight, that's the limit.

    So what's the problem?

I'm not understanding why there is this feeling Canelo has to be exactly the same weight as Golovkin.

It makes no sense, it's a 5lb difference max, hardly a massive weight advantage on the scales, I'm sure Canelo could come in at 158 and make life a lot easier for himself.

Khan stepped up a lot of weight to fight Canelo, 8lb and that was acceptable to Canelo and GBP, it was a great fight according to those lot, so what's the problem with probably a 2lb weight difference on the scales?

It's about getting yourself in the best possible shape you can be in, it's not about matching your opponents weight

For me it isn't just the fact that Canelo won the lineal title. It's that stylistically he has a shot of outboxing Golovkin.

That being said, if he does not want to fight at 160, that's his prerogative, as long as the crown is considered vacant.

He isn't too small/short to compete at MW.

    He's 5'8/5'9 tall.

    He has a 70" reach.

He weighs in in the 170's on fight night.

    That's enough.

He's the same size as guys like Ouma, Stevens and Lemieux.

Here's a photo of him and GG:

At first Canelo did want 155. But afterwards he changed his mind. You're right on that.

Don't blame the WBC for preventing the fight from happening though. Canelo and Oscar knew of those deadlines months in advance. They knew about them before they asked for a voluntary against Amir, and the deadlines weren't in any way unreasonable. The truth is, Oscar just doesn't want the fight yet. He's a businessman and Canelo is his 'Golden Egg'

How does it prove that GG wasn't interested in fighting him? GG would gladly have fought him at 160. Abel's got a big mouth and he loves to hype GG, but a few weeks ago he seemed genuinely peeved at Oscar for him wanting to wait until late next year for the fight. He repeatedly said that in his opinion, the fight doesn't need to be built up as it's ready now. It appears to me that Tom Loeffler reluctantly agreed to Oscar's wish, and he's hoping to get him good fights in the meantime.

Why on earth should Canelo deserve mad props, after he talked adrenaline fuelled nonsense before then relinquishing the title to go and sign to fight Liam Smith?

Oscar is milking Canelo, which is why GG is looking to fight Eubank.

    Blame everyone else??

    Oh my!

    Are you serious??

Oscar doesn't want the fight until next year.

Jacobs just last week said he doesn't want it at this point.

Billy Joe has repeatedly said he doesn't want it yet unless he gets an offer that he can't refuse to turn down.

    Do you want the links?

They are all on record saying they don't want to fight him.

That leaves GG fighting mandos and keep busy fights against the likes of Eubank. But what do you do? You CRITICISE him for it.

    :patsch

    How does that work?

Three guys officially confirm they don't want to unify, yet you criticise GG?

    Are you mentally ill?

Trout and Lara aren't MW's, and his goal is to obtain all of the MW belts.

The Ward fight was never realistic due to a number of factors.

None of what I've wrote should need explaining to you.

    Sounds like excuses.

If he's having a hard time finding an opponent at 160 he should look elsewhere.

Canelo, Hopkins, DLH, Mayweather, Duran, Leonard, Robinson and 99.9% of ATGs outside of the HW division all compromised something or two to make a fight...

If he doesn't have an opponent at 160 why is he wasting his time there? Doesn't he care about being great? Is he content with his current situation? Sure seems like it..

    How are they excuses, genius?

    They are FACTS.

    You can have the links.

The other champs do not want to fight him yet.

It's extremely frustrating, but it is not GG's fault.

You cannot make a guy fight you if he or his promoter/management doesn't want the fight.

Replace the word 'excuses' with the words: 'reasons' and 'circumstances'

Personally, I think he'll give it another 12 months or so, and if nothing has changed I'm sure he'll move up.

The other issue, is he's not a big guy that can move up a few weight classes, and the class directly above him isn't that strong.

    He's in a predicament.

He's got to make some tough decisions.

But hating on him when his MW rivals won't fight him is absolutely MORONIC.
