Well he's making millions destroying ranked opponents in the MW division. A fight against Canelo would be a great payday but he's obviously not desperate enough to chase the fight. So I'd assume he is comfortable doing what hes doing.
Golovkin's biggest problem is that at 34 years of age he does not have a career defining fight, nor does he have a resume worthy of ATG status. All he has is hype from the Hbo machine. I'm not saying he isn't an extremely skilled and gifted fighter, but as talented as he may be Golovkin has not proven anything outside of what his resume says. Its that simple. He can move up or down and he's had a few opportunities to do so.
Thats what Im starting think too. Some one made a point in another thread that he has probably exceeded all expectations he ever had in regards to financial sucess, and that he is likely happy letting K2 and Hbo match him against the low quality opposition and pay him millions for easy days at the office.
I asked you how he was hiding. Trying to accomplish goals that he set for himself isn't hiding. But I agree that he's now in a tough predicament.
How is he happy? You honestly don't think he's frustrated at not being able to fight Canelo, Jacobs and BJS?
So you're another one of those claiming that a promoter, who's primary job is to make the biggest fights possible and whose main goal is to reap huge financial rewards would rather nickel and dime his way to that goal?
Yet his resume shids all over Golovkin's. Ever asked yourself why? Canelo fights anyone, and if he wants to wait a year or two before fighting Golovkin who is a division next to where Canelo currently fights he has every right too. He is the more proven fighter. If some people want to hate on that, so be it, it comes with thw territory.
I don't think he shouldn't have to fight Canelo at a cachweight but by the same regard Canelo should be able to fight at LMW if he wants. Hopefully they're on a collision course and will meet, but if not I look forward to seeing their careers play out.
