Andrade could have beaten literally anyone with a pulse and likely could have gotten a Canelo payday. Had the Saunders or Ryder fights not fallen through (and had he won them), then it was almost guaranteed that he would have gotten to fight Canelo. I won't excuse Benavidez because Canelo should have fought him by now but it's also not a bygone conclusion that that fight won't get made at all either.

Why are you still pretending Canelo ever cared about who he opponents beat to earn the fight with him? That's been long debunked with about 20 opponents who beat nobody and got the fight. Andrade had the last belt for undisputed, which was enormous reason to fight him.

Elite based on beating Cotto in 2013? Who else did he ever beat? He is the king of reg belts. He unified with the IBO belt. Never won a real belt in the ringl, all reg belts upgraded. His run at 160 has been a farce. Canelo fans have pretended he was elite because he gave their hero such a tough fight.

All good points Jack, but I don’t think any of these arguments could equate to Canelo being a duck!

I felt he won the second GGG fight clearly enough.

After strenuous drug testing and a leaner physique, Canelo fought GGG again and beat him legitimately. He would then move up and unify the division above while GGG ducked anyone with a pulse including a 50 year old Lara, in which he ultimately gave his belt to rather than fight. Canelo fought GGG a third time at 168 despite GGG doing absolutely nothing at the weight class and people still complained. Again, explain to me how you duck someone you fought 3 times.

The term "duck" doesn't only mean you didn't fight someone. It means not fighting someone until they have begun to fade, past their prime. You say GGG ducked Lara. I don't know why they didn't fight but my feeling is GGG and Loma were two fighters that ducked no one. They were the cream of the crop for a decade.
