FK.....I was going to point out that GGG is on the tip of the hill leaning forward, not back like Fat Joe, but you got me bro. GGG has maybe a few good fights left and I expect Canelo to morph into the Big Red Machine and give GGG difficulties for the first 3-4 rounds. Big Red lands some of the most beautiful uppercuts but in the end GGG should stop him around the 9th-11th.
This. On paper Golovkin has this, but Canelo is exceptional enough that GGG is going to have to be in tip top shape or risk having problems. I have about the 9th as well.
Canelo will have no more success than David Lemieux. GGG dominates smaller, shorter men with is jack hammer jab. Canelo is slippery and understands angles, he's also a good counter puncher. He'll look to slip and counter GGG's jab early and often...but eventually he'll get caught by the follow up right hand from the 1-2...and bye bye Canelo.
THIS We all know Canelo has faster hands than GGG and a really good combo of punches as Brook has. Golovkin is really precise with his punches and he is a master cutting the ring. Once Canelo feels Golovkins power he has 2 options, stand toe to toe and start praying a la Virgen de Guadalupe or get away from GGG and eventually land punches like Jacobs did. But Canelo dont have Jacobs power to get the respect of Gennady or long arms to keep him away, so good luck Canelo...
LOL He is also having love problems with Marc Anthony s ex wife. Love troubles arent good when you are about to face one of the biggest challenges of your life
Pretty much what Tim Bradley just said,GGG will throw punches unlike Chavez and do we expect Canelo to duck n weave for twelve rounds? Anyone noticed how Canelo has a habit of flinching, did against Smith a few times.
Golovkin is more skilled than El Pollo, his punches much harder and has more variety of punches. He should knock El Pollo out. El Pollo's wing punches will not do the job, his pecker punch to Golovkin's testicles will still not do the job, although I expect Tony Weeks to be the referee and see Bob Bennett cheer leading and lying for El Pollo!
But he got "lucky" against Lara, the only one here who didnt need luck or the judges help is Golovkin
GGG wins easily, unless Canelo spoils and goes for the gift, but I don't think he will. He took this fight out of pride (to Oscar's dismay) and wants to win it fair and square. What Canelo can't control is his corner stopping the fight, which I see happening since Golovkin doesn't have one punch knockout power. Canelo's fall will be slow and brutal. GBP real test will be to explain to his fans how he lost. Fake injury? Maybe they don't have too and just take on Golovkin again when he's really over the hill, 38ish or something.
You wanted him to move up to a much much worse division ? 168 has been a cemetery for years, absolute garbage. Mw was only considered "weak" strictly because ggg had been so dominant. Always a reason any and every fighter is too dominant for clueless fans to comprehend, had to be everybody else, NEVER had anything to do with the p4p best fighter in boxing, which is exactly what ggg was for the better part of the last decade
So you're justifying him sitting in a crap division for years instead of moving up.. Key word MOVING UP and challenging himself.. Degeale.. Jack.. Dirrell.. Groves.. WARD would ALL be GGG's best win. Please
