No one can compete with Floyd talent wise, in my opinion. I don't want to talk about young ungry lions, as they said of Ortiz, but it is true that a guy who doesn't think he can lose can do miracles.

Look at Sam Peter before his first fight against Wlad Klitschko. He looked fearless and confident he could KO the bigger, better man. He did lose, but not without throwing Wlad to the canvas 3 times. He was undefeated and did not believe he could lose and the same could happen with Canelo.

He can hardly win, but it would be a better fight than against Cotto. Cotto may be better (not sure at this point), but he's not as talented as Floyd , nor is he more eager to win. At least, Canelo could be more eager to win.

Wasn't Canelo being outboxed by Alfonso Gomez?.... what a beast.

He could be an excellent boxer but he needs several years until he is ready

He is 20 years old and have a big potential. But right now, Floyd is gonna beat the sh!t of him. He had serious problems with Gomez, and luckily for him it ended in a british stoppage..

Good post. As long as we get a good fight because unless its not Pacquiao or Martinez we all know clearly who is going to win. Not that I want Floyd to lose, but predictable fights from him have gone on for too long.

Careful. Canelo was being passive against Gomez because he didn't percieve him as threat. Gomez tried his ass off but it didn't do squat for damage. We haven't seen Alvarez's full potential yet. Go back to his fights before he signed with Golden Boy. He was fighting more aggressive back then, with more speed. It's safe to say he's developed a good deal more since then, but he hasn't had an opponent yet that's pushed him to show us.

It'll be interesting to see how Alvarez adjusts to that amazing speed of Floyd's. But if he could land half the punches Hatton was landing, Floyd will be taking more damage than he's taken in his whole career.

Canelo was bored to tears during the Gomez fight. He was thinking, "why am i fighting this maricon when i should be fighting mayweather for real money?"

De La Hoya was shot when he fought Floyd, and that was before Floyd was the Cash King.

Now that Floyd is a Cash King, he won't take the kind of risk that someone like Alvarez represents.

I suppose you think Floyd will fight Martinez at 154 too, huh? :patsch

you're full of ****, De La Hoya was definetly not shot, he was past his best but that version of DLH would stop Canelo in 3 rounds. Canelo got wobbled by a former super featherweight in cotto's brother and that version of DLH was enough to beat a still decent Mayorga who would also have destroyed Canelo.

Take Floyd's balls out of your mouth.

Floyd is the most risk adverse champion of all time.

The only person he would fight at 154 these days is someone like Cotto, who is a small 154.

Ginger Alvarez is no threat to Void Mayflower. This fight is a joke. Another cherrypicked opponent for Void. :-(

Don't hype him, Alvarez has literally no chance. Ow, maybe punchers chance but that's all.

And "Canelo" is no monster. B class boxer, strong , has some skills but too slow and he's just not good enough to beat Mayflower.
