What a bad move by Canelo and GBP, they look ridiculous, they look so cowardly.

I would rather take the beating than live with the abuse he is forever going to get if he don't quickly change his mind.

I can't see how any amount of PR saves Canelo from ridicule, social media is alight already, Canelo is getting slaughtered.

I am curious to see what the Mexican and Chicano members of this site have to say about this. Do any of you agree with this sentiment or are you more in line with Pimp C's opinion???????

    :good

Just imagine if Ward were GGG's mandatory and did the exact same thing Canelo just did.

Think those glad Canelo did this would still be supporting the guy giving his title up instead of fighting his mandatory?

 I know, the more excuses they are making the worse it looks. The more reasons they are giving the worse it looks.

They backed Canelo and lost, they can't deal with it, Canelo has let a lot of people down with this embarrassing blatant duck.

:D We got all the YADA YADA YADA nonsense from a bunch of TROLLS constantly supporting O$CAR... scamming everyone.

The 155 lb. CATCH WEIGHT BULLSHlT constantly showed up as either a thread starter... or got thrown in in mult. threads.

Then the A side/B side STRAWMAN came into play.

Now, that Canelo and GBP have surrendered the belt, in order to avoid fighting GGG, we are still hearing WHY it's a good move by Canelo.

    :admin PAY ATTENTION....

this move (surrendering the belt) has already started ruining Canelo's reputation.

There are no excuses that can be offered as a defense for a boxing champion running away from a MANDATORY BOUT.

    NADA
    NONE

Canelo's "brand" is now "TRASH", the other recent boxing situation similar to this was Chavez jr. quitting in the corner, and his reputation has gone downhill since.

After today, Canelo's history and it's time to move on.

To be fair, I'm not going to count chickens just yet- both sides are admittedly still negotiating.

As of now, though, this really isn't a good look. But it ain't over just yet :good

You're spot on, Canelo has seriously damaged his reputation, I think this is a huge miscalculation by Canelo and GBP.

Canelo is a laughing stock everywhere, it is savage, it's so bad I am starting to think he will have no choice but to reserve this decision and fight.

No beating can be worse than the ridicule being thrown his way, it's brutal.

    I just said above

I wouldn't be surprised if Canelo is almost forced to fight Golovkin now, the backlash is so brutal, it's savage out there

The statement released by Canelo & O$CAR seems firm that Canelo will surrender the belt.

    ;)

:p According to the statement that Canelo & O$CAR released this afternoon, that's what is happening, They are DROPPING THE BELT.

:hey Nice to see you are NOT offering excuses for a change.

Are you turning over a "new leaf"... once again?

As you can see, many other GGG haters continue to make excuses though.

    ;)
