Canelo-Lemieux in May 2019

Canelo's style is much better suited for Lemieux than saunders or Golovkin's were.

 

Lem doesn`t have the savvy to hit or pressure Canelo the way GGG did, Saul is too elusive and is a much better counter combo puncher than Lem.

 

Pointless fight. Easy UD win for Canelo

 

Lem has once chance and that is the left hook.

 

I can only really see a Canelo KO win. Canelo is a much better Boxer and even if Lemieux fights with a level of safety he will know he is dropping rounds to Canelo throughout the fight and he will always go out on his shield if its called upon he will never shut up shop and look to see it out. Bring it on though it wouldnt be the worst match up of 2019 if it happened.

I would even prefere a Cotto rematch or fights with Murray and Sulecki

 

I’d wanna see that regardless as with Lemieux there’s always that element of danger,quite simply if he does connect you’re going down.

 

If Golovkin and Saunders can easily outbox Lemieux then Canelo won't have much problems too.
I'm not even sure that Lemieux will beat Johnson in December
