He's never had stamina issues in any of his fights. That's largely a myth. Tonight, he looked different MAINLY BECAUSE OF HIS OPPONENT. Floyd should not have been granted the cw, but IMO, it made little difference. (I felt exactly the same about Pac's cw against Cotto). Floyd was just too fast and too elusive for the young Mexican.
No he didn't. He looked exactly how he always looks.... except he had Floyd in front of him and not Lopez or Gomez.
There they go with the excuses....Canelo was "Lookin Off" cause he was in the ring with a better boxer.
Doesn't Canelo usually come in at around 168lbs? he looked leaner than usual but it doesn't matter, being big and slower works in Mayweather's favour.
I'll say this - you won't see Canelo looking that light in any other fight past or future . Floyd made it a catchweight for a reason.
Canelo mentally folded. For once in your life try to get your asses in the ring. The feeling of getting tagged and not hitting your opponent which just stands right in front of you has more effect than it seems. Canelo is a young guy, he bound to learn it sooner or later.
my point is that canello is a level below Floyd. always will be. If the truck tries to race against the car what happrns??? I do not think that the catch weight was the problem by itself. It was smart of TMT to get this in the contract to increase the odds in there favor perhaps, but even at the 154 limit the same thing would of happened.:good
