Weigh 2 pounds of water and think about it. Your body needs water to function properly, if you have already drained to make your usual weight and need to lose another 2 pounds on top of it, it's going to be an issue getting your body into a good state of rehydration.
That's working on the assumption that you have nothing left to give. Which you don't know. I don't believe Cotto was dehydrated against Pacquiao. And I don't believe Canelo will be dehydrated against Mayweather.
Or fighters could be like floyd and fight where they belong. If Alvarez did not dehydrate over 10lbs to make 154 the 152 would be meaningless. The fact that Alvarez like to fight guys that he outweighs by 10 lbs is his fault. If he fought at 160 where he belongs, the catchweight would have been 156 or so. He cuts 15lbs every fight. I'm sorry but I don't fell sorry for Alvarez at all. If you are 170+ on fight night you are a middleweight. GGG is a middleweight and he weighed 170 on fight night at his last fight, Macklin was 168?, Martinez ,168 or so. Alvarez fights at higher weight than top level middleweights.
Alvarez' camp offered the 152lb deal...:deal Which would Canelito prefer 1.152 with no rehydration clause 2.154 with a rehydration clause I bet you he'd rather #1
@witschnerd1, very well said, and that's how real boxing fans see it.....Not these obsessed canelo fans or floyd haters.
If Canelito had the goods to make this a 5050 fight he's done a damn good job hiding. Alvarez does not cover his body well...Trout beat him on the inside...as a matter of fact...Alvarez conceeded the inside from the get-go.. He doesn't like it in there. That Mayweather body-jab will shine on sep 14th.
I know the jab you speak of and no doubt I know Mayweather will use it and come up top with a hook, once used a few times with success though Canelo will switch his approach, probably shoot the uppercut or counter cross to Mayweathers head when he goes to jab the body.
Im gonna give this a serious analysis. First off, If i was a Canelo fan, i would feel good about the fact that floyd has had some close calls at 154, we can clearly see that he is not the same that he is at 147. Another thing to point out is that floyd's recent opponents are finding success in the first 3-4 rounds. I wonder if Canelos patient approach will somehow make floyd lead or follow him and that could change things a bit. If floyd elects to dance the first half of the fight and press the action later if he sees canelo slow down , canelo could be in trouble
Seem like all Fl0m0s are weight or should I say catchweight experts now atsch. If only they had this kind of knowledge when PAC fought Cotto .
What is the word of the street about Alex Jones? You live in the same hometown as Alex. What is your opinion about Alex? What is the infowars command center like?
That's exactly what he'll do. He's not stupid to open up early and give Alvarez what he's hoping for freely.
If you don't approve of the fight/weight, don't watch and play the boycott game with people no one gives a **** about. Acting like a clown in Mayweather threads won't change a thing. Fact is, he's not the first to schedule a catchweight fight and won't be the last. If catchweights are illegal no belt would be on the line and the fight won't be sanctioned.
