uhhh a full year, well I think 2 years is the regular ban for failing a (or two in his case) test. So that's the least he could do. I think, once a fighter gets popped, that should be mandatory for the rest of their careers.

Why are you obsessing about 'haters'? I don't know why you get so upset over a person you don't know. But if you are going to focus on 'haters' then continued testing would keep them quiet, wouldn't it? Because then he would be above doubt. It's not just Canelo, same goes for other top, elite fighters like Joshua, who as far as I can tell is not enrolled to anything at the moment. I think they should all be tested year-round. It's not a huge price to pay for a short and lucrative career.

This is the price boxers pay for being the very best, and the riches that come with this status bring with them responsibility. The difference between Joshua and Canelo is the latter has failed a drug test and the former has not and that's why he gets the spotlight. Keep testing, keep the 'hater's quiet. But as you pointed out yourself, as soon as he could come off the testing, he did...

    You seem very passionate.

By all means go ahead and criticize him. He has earned all his accolades and he can be faulted for all his criticism.

I don't treat anyone or any fighter different. I measure everyone with the same stick.

Truth is for me - putting any doubts to one side - he's pretty much the best talent out there at the moment. We'll move on.... lol

Discussing haters and fretting over what they say is 95% of his and Isal's existence on this site.

I don't know why. Just like I don't know why other fighters who have failed didn't enroll in VADAs 365 program. As a fan I'm satisfied with knowing he did it for a full year, had multiple fights while being tested randomly year round, passed a hair follicle test.

You would think him being enrolled in VADA random testing for a full year would keep them quiet but it hasn't.
The difference between Joshua and Canelo is that Canelo lives in a country with a well known meat contamination problem, which explains why he tested for trace amounts of clenbuterol.

But since you bring up a U.K. fighter, why don't we talk about Billy Joe Sniffles. He failed a test for Oxilofrine. Did he enroll in year round testing like Canelo did to prove his clean?

He has been tested by VADA for years well before last year's test. Canelo has been tested longer than practically anyone in the sport. Also there's no indication that he is refusing further testing. The news is simply that he has completed the full year contract with VADA. We have no information other than that, it's just being spun by his haters to suggest now he's refusing testing. It's all just spin while ignoring that Canelo has completed stringent drug testing for a yaer SUCCESSFULLY. He should be applauded for this, for going the extra mile to show he's clean.

Canelo is the biggest attraction in boxing, so with that comes a boatload of haters who can't stand seeing someone shine for whatever reason. DLH had his, Mayweather had his, and now Canelo has his. It comes with the territory.

Its usually from men suffering inferiority complexes.

Yet why don't we see haters flocking into every BJS topic criticizing him for not doing what Canelo did to prove he's clean? Why is only Canelo getting criticized for failing a drug test, a test that can be justified by accidental meat contamination, while others like BJS who's positive drug test can't be justified by meat contamination, and further he hasn't gone to the lengths Canelo has to prove he's clean?

If anything BJS's should be criticized 100X more than Canelo since he has no legitimiate justification for his positive drug test, and he hasn't enrolled in year round testing to prove he's clean like Canelo has.
