well in all seriousness Canelo moving up to fight a Champ at 168 is "daring to be great". he'll be giving away a lot of weight to fight at 168. I don't think that's unreasonable at all to say that he's challenging himself more by moving up in weight than he would be fighting at 160. The safest thing to do would be to stay at 160 and fight guys more his size. For him to fight a champ at 168 is arguably a bigger risk than fighting Lemieux, and you pretty much agreed with that by saying Lemieux is an easy fight. (by the way @mirkofilipovic this is what I mean about some fans who think Lemieux would be an easy fight)

No. Lemieux has one punch ko power, easy fight for Canelo but there's a chance of losing. Fielding is utter caca, no chance at all. If Canelo stays at 168 and starts fighting champs after this it'll make sense. If he doesn't then it's a waste of time. He did fight GGG twice so he gets a pass from me but not a lot of credit for beating Fielding.

Agreed that Lemieux has one punch ko power and it's a dangerous fight but could be easy if Canelo avoids his power and outboxes him. that's why I said last week if he were to fight Lemieux he better not fight Lemieux like he did GGG in the rematch, if he did fight Lemieux it would be better for Canelo to fight Lemieux like how he fought GGG in the first fight by using his footwork, giving Lemieux angles, etc. You don't want to get into an in-the-pocket toe-to-toe with with Lemieux.

@CST80 I know your opinion on Smith is low but do you think Canelo would actually beat him at 168? I don't see it, Canelo is more talented but Smith is just a monster at 168.

Smith is like twice as big as GGG lol. I'd want Smith to get 1-2 more wins under his belt though so Canelo would get full credit if he wins. I don't see it though, Smith would beat Canelo imo.

What about Zurdo and Hart? I think they both beat him.

Hart has a glass jaw and GGG & Canelo are pretty accurate, so... who knows, depends on how well both of them take a punch at 168, Zurdo and Hart are winnable fights, but I wouldn't pick GGG or Canelo with a lot of confidence.

I meant Hart and Zurdo against Benavidez. GGG and Canelo would probably kill Hart lol. Zurdo is a tough one for GGG and Canelo though. I think Canelo might pull it off, unlike Smith Zurdo isn't a heavy hitter.
