50/50 was fair. Pacquiao was P4P#1, active and selling high PPV numbers as it is. Mayweather's deluded demands didn't stop at 50/50, every time negotiations seemed to go somewhere he put a stop to it. Doubt you would back it up if Pacquiao demanded more money, special drug testing for one fight and publicly called Mayweather a cheater.
I give Floyd credit for fighting Mosley. I am not hater of Floyd, but the truth is the truth. There were many instances where he clearly did not fight the best opposition. He is one of the most talented fighters of all time, but he could have done so much more. For the record, I think Floyd would have beaten all the guys that I mentioned. He didn't fight them, that is my point. My opinion of whether or not Floyd would have won means absolutely nothing! He should have proved it! I think he could beat Canelo too. I just want to see him get in there and take the tough challenges.
Canelo will prove he's a tough challenge when he beats someone noteworthy, sadly he has absolutely no one on his record. Alvarez is as proven as Guerrero at this stage of his career.
Well, not agreeing to a cut off date is not agreeing to full random testing, now is it? Their "agreeing to 14 day cut off" happened only about one week before they had a press conference announcing Joshua Clottey as the opponent. It was all posturing to save face. And it got some idiots to find peace. I thought the thread title would indicate it was a thread about Alvarez and Trout fight being signed? See previous post on page 1. You people are obsessed.
He fought Oscar who was not in his prime. Either way, I give him credit for it as it was a tough fight. I also gave him credit for Mosley and Cotto, but when Cotto was his #1 contender at welterweight, he retired to "not think about boxing". Idiot? LOL! I like your avatar, cocksucker!
okay. but that new list is horrible. floyd has maybe four fights left in him and those should include canelo(if he beats trout), sergio(154), ggg(154) and paq. even if he doesnt want to campaign at 154 he could easily make at least one fight there. angulo, maidaina, alexander, garcia...garbage.
Alvarez vs Trout what a ****ing top fight. And to be fair Alvarez is within his rights to walk away from May 4th. Why should he undercard someone else's event when he himself is in an arguably better fight where he can headline his own? That's not a knock on Floyd i just think that's fair enough.
I just said this is not a Pacquiao thread in a previous post. Read back. I was just as critical on Manny as I was Floyd back then. But Manny did agree after that and then it became about money. Floyd was more responsible for that fight not happening. Either way, we can agree to disagree on this. Reason being, Pacquiao got KTFO, incase you didn't hear. My point, to put it in a nutshell. Floyd does not always take the toughest fights, at least since he has been a welterweight. I do give him credit for the not prime Oscar, not prime Mosley and not prime Cotto. No sarcasm, I really do. He should fight the winner of Canelo-Trout, period. Floyd is still the #1 jr. middleweight in the world and by him beating Guerrero and Canelo/Trout, he would conquer two weight divisions in two fights. That would be something.
