My arguments backed with facts and logic, while yours are filled with emotion, and insults.

For example, what does Canelo beating the shid out of another man in a street fight when he was 20 years old have anything to do with boxing?

I am critical of Oscar and Canelo, because I am not invested emotionally in them. On the contrary, you and a bunch of GGGstans go to the extreme of becoming "abusive" and extremely childish in your defense of your hero... Now that seems very strange for a grown man to do.

I don't think they are crazy, more like they have an unrealistic perspective of reality that stems from the criticism that GGG gets for having such a weak resume. I feel that deep down they know that to be great you have to do GREAT things and GGG has done none of that.

The best that they hope for is that he breaks Hopkins record at MW, but even that it won't put GGG on par with Hopkins because Hopkins did much more than just have a bunch of title fights in one division, he fought ATGs, elite comp, and P4P fighters and beat them when they were at their best.

Keep on believing he dropped his belt because of a purse split.

It goes to the character of Alvarez and it wasn't a street fight, it was a sucker punch. Alvarez believes that he is entitled and it shows in his actions. Personally, I don't care for either Alvarez or Golovkin but the only thing I have against Golovkin is his over-the-top fans. Alvarez says "I will fight him right now!" and "Mexicans don't f*ck around" in one breath and the next breath says " Here is your belt, Senor." lol You picked a bad hero to worship.

I don't worship anyone, I do however root for fighters who show a willingness to test themselves.

I don't like catchweights, but I can accept them sometimes depending on the circumstance.

If Canelo had fought at the 160 limit lets say for Cotto and then wanted to bring GGG down to 155, that would be unacceptable.

If Canelo was willing to fight lets say Lemieux, Eubanks or Saunders at 160 but GGG at 155, that would be unacceptable.

If Canelo would call out fighters between 154-168 but had specific weight restictions for some and for others not, that would be unacceptable.

As far as the "I will fight him right now", that is a figure of speech in Mexico showing that he is willing to fight him. Now had Canelo had gone on to say something like, "anytime any weight", and then comes out with 155 then I would be critical.

But for you GGGstans, when GGG says he'll fight anyone between 154-168, you guys start defending his words

What another man does in his personal life doesn't affect how I see them in the ring, especially if he was just a 19 or 20 year old kid when he did that. If anything Canelo has proven to be a true professional in boxing, and he fights everyone that matters, so I have no reason to not believe him and think he's ducking anyone. If the man says he wants time to negotiate the best deal, I have no reason not gove him the benefit of the doubt, none.

All of that is fine, just don't call someone else a "fool" because they don't see things the same way that you do.

Bottom line here is that Golovkin did not accept the split offered by GBP.

Canelo has fought the fighters others avoid, and he made concessions to land the Mayweather fight. Its those factors that got him where he is today. If Golovkin wants the same standing, he has to concede to the proven money maker.

Beat Canelo, and Golovkin is right where he wants to be as far as being the one to be able to make demands to other fighters for fights to get made.

Golovkin needs Canelo at any price for him to be in position to make future big money fights down the line past Canelo.

If I was Golovkin and was dead sure I'd beat Canelo, I'd take GBP's offer which would be my highest in professional boxing anyway.

You have to be willing to take the much shorter end of the stick, so you can get a grip on it and be able to take it away completely and have it be yours.
Golovkin it looks like either doesn't have the smarts for it, or he plain out doesn't have the *****!

    LOL

Again, we are provided that same information.. In this case, all we know is that

    Negotiations are ongoing;

    • Canelo has stated that he dropped the belt to get rid of the deadline
    • Canelo said he WILL fight GGG
    • Canelo has never ducked anyone
    • Canelo has taken on the toughest fights available
    • Canelo is very open about GGG and the fight and is not sweeping it under the rug

So if a Hardcore Golovkin fanatic calls a fighter who has proven to fight anyone and who puts his life on the line for their entertainment a COWARD from behind a keyboard, and when you consider all the points I've made, yes I will call that person a fool for calling a fighter a COWARD, especially when the fight does get made.

    :good

    Mayweather conceded to ODLH
Canelo conceded to Mayweather and Cotto
    GGG makes bad business decisions

I didn't call Alvarez a coward but I wonder how brave you are when you aren't behind that keyboard.

Did Canelo and GBP really do it for those reasons?

GBP have apparently made an offer at Liam Smith for a shot at his 154 WBO title.

    Nope, try another reason

Canelo blatantly ducked Golovkin, it don't matter how you try and spin it, business reasons, career reasons, a side and b side reasons the fact is Canelo vacated to avoid Golovkin.

It's not a debate, it's not even worth discussing any more really.

Golovkin took Canelo's belt, Canelo pride and Canelo's soul without throwing a punch :good
