Is this all you can muster up as a reply? TRAGIC! You can't even defend what you've wrote. You can't counter what I've wrote. "GG doesn't want tough fights and the proof is in the pudding" "GG was willing to fight Froch at SMW" Makes sense. Ha! Give it up you clown, you're done.
Yeah, that would have been great. But I don't think a fight was viable at the time. I'm still hopeful we can see it one day. A fight against Carl would also have been great at SMW. Look at the clown that is IsaL. He says GG wanted Froch at SMW, but then says he doesn't want any tough fights and he has the proof. Ha! atsch

'Beefy' Smith vs 'Chickeny' Canelo? Beef vs Chicken? Hmm... I'll be rooting for Beef, but Chicken would probably win.
And? That's 1 article out of about 100 discussing a potential fight. It's from late last year. It mentions that GG had previously shown an interest in fighting Froch at 168, which you yourself have noted. Of course GG wasn't going to fight him at 172. At the time of publishing, GG had just beaten Lemieux and he was in line to fight Canelo who'd just beaten Cotto. So he'd got 2 belts and was aiming for the lineal to make it 3. So at that specific moment in time he wouldn't have wanted to have fought at SMW. Froch didn't want to fight anyway. He was just missing the limelight. He said he could never make SMW, despite Rob McCracken assuring him that he definitely could. The fact that he ignored the man who he's got so much respect for speaks volumes to me. Time for you to admit that you're biased. Chavez and Zurdo would also be hard fights.
