Not sure why Ward isn't trying to get this fight. Huge money, winnable, and not a real health risk like the Joshua fight would have been

I think he has a knee issue. I want to see this fight so bad.

Yup. 50 50 fight between 2 ATGs. To me it's the most interesting fight Canelo could realistically make.

Ward would never accept a fight where he knew the opponent had more influence with the judges than himself.

Sog Ward would stop Canelo in 8

but Canelo would go down fighting like a man. not like Kovalev went out

I'd take ward. I was never a ward fan and although I do have my criticisms of canelo, I am somewhat of a fan. Ward would tie canelo up and make it dirty for a hopkins like win.

Gents, don't forget, Ward can really box.

As much as I never really liked his ugly fouling style, and his slightly grating persona (much better as a pundit i've found), Ward would nullify anything that Canelo did - he was very strong, had super high ring IQ, and did whatever he needed to get the W.

Canelo simply doesn't have the workrate to pose Ward enough problems IMO, and Wrad would adapt as the fight went on.

One interesting thing with this bout though, is both fighters usually liked to stack the deck in their favour, so who would in reality get the nod on the cards.

I'd take Ward by quite a wide (in reality) UD

Canelo by decision, similar to Mosley.

After yesterday, it appears to me that Ward could still win this after two tune up fights.

With an honest referee and judges, Canelo wins.

But with his usual dodgy officials, Ward would win by dirty illegal tactics: deliberate head butts, a low blow TKO, or by a UD despite being outboxed and knocked down.
