Canelo should try and compete so Floyd can humiliate him and his boss De La Hoya who is so jealous of Floyd.

HBO isn't dumb enough to go against a Mayweather PPV. Especially considering how many Mayweather sold back on May 2nd. Mayweather is the 800lb gorilla in the room where PPV is concerned and *everybody* [including HBO] knows this...

If Mayweather didn't fight Pacquiao, he would have lost his May date to Canelo

Now he doesn't have any fights that big to push Canelo

Canelo and De La Hoya got this

Canelo doesn't have to fight PPV. If he fights on regular HBO, I don't see why HBO would not pick the fight up.

And if it's against Cotto, they can make it PPV and beat anything Mayweather can put on the table.

Mayweather's time came and left with the Pacquiao fight.

Ok. You can call him as boring as you want, but that doesn't change the fact that his fights generate way more revenue that anyone else. He's talked about on these forums more than anyone else as well.

But his fights are going to be more memorable because way more people are watching them than anyone else. You can't remember a fight you don't see. You have to ask yourself how he's head and shoulders above all of his peers in terms of noteriaty and earning potential if he's so boring.
