Canelo would TKO Vans by the 5th however Vans does have that careless straightforward style that will make any fight exciting

I agree with most of this as Canelo had his career best performance with GGG. Canelo busted out footwork and had GGG chasing him around the ring. I was more impressed with Canelo in the first fight than with GGG
I’m excited to see who improved the most since and who is willing to take more risks

    Quite possible, unfortunately.
    Timing is everything.

I don't think their styles are comparable. I was just comparing their strength and speed. Canelo is much faster than Vanes, and Vanes' speed was giving GGG fits.

Why? You're only as good as your last fight. Vanes' speed clearly gave GGG issues. Canelo is faster and hits harder than Vanes. I don't get why people think I'm comparing their styles. I'm just pointing out Canelo is much faster than Vanes and has a lot more power too. Speed gives GGG problems since he's not the fastest guy out there.

Might be a little exaggerated. But almost every straight body punch landed. GGG's reactions just seemed off and he was getting hit WAY more than expected.

I agree, french pastry chef Duhaupas was tagging Wilder at will.
Imagine what AJ will do? :eeek:

I get he was a late sub and a 154 guy, but no elite guys at 154 could do what GGG did.

Not only did GGG smash him, he did it in 2 short rounds.

I agree. Speed will always give a fighter like GGG problems. Fair enough.

But the comment "only as good as his last fight" can be misleading. GGG fought a guy he would be about 10% as excited to fight compared to fighting Canelo for the lineal mdlwt title. That certainly matters.

He was also moving up in weight
He was also inactive for two years
He was also fighting on 3 weeks notice

But GGG KO another Gatekeeper, so lets pretend its such a great accomplishment.

cmon vargas, it was a weak win, a very late standin who shouldnt have been there, no wonder he folded for the money.

its canelos fault, but ggg might have picked an active replacement.

he koed him in 2. You sound worse than a Kliturd trying to argue prime vitali won by letting worst lewis rip his face off inside half distance.

You're picking Canelo based on the performance of a guy who got stopped brutally in the 2nd round and had very minor success in a feel out first round? Why even make such embarrassing statements.

And I have no beef with anyone at all who's picking Canelo BTW. There's plenty of reasons to pick him. Just not yours.
