Canelo's defense isn't good unless that's all he's focusing on doing and his opponent is throwing punches in a predictable pattern. He got tuned up trying that stuff against Alfonso Gomez, who stepped in and mixed up his punches, and he rarely countered Trout's somewhat pawing straight punches during the sequences where he made him miss in any case. If he makes Floyd miss but can't make him pay then his defense only means that he won't get hit a lot on the way to a decision loss.

Another thing Canelo sacrifices his work rate for defense he missed alot of punches vs trout and he was there to be countered trout did not do floyd will make him pay.

Canelo loads up so much he will also get very tired from the missing and getting countered.

Once he starts getting hit so much his punch out put will drop.

i think floyds stop in 9 to 10 or his corner or the ref will stop it he will bleed in this fight

It is solid, but it will not be a factor in this fight. It isn't good enough to stop Mayweather's precise offense and/or Alvarez' need to press the fight.

Canelo's a good fighter. I think he does everything well and that is going to be an issue. The biggest issue for me is that he doesn't turn defense into offense that well. Along that line his counter punching game is a little sub-par. He'll need to conuter some of floyd's shots otherwise he won't have any affective control of the pace when he's resting.

Canelo made Trout miss 70% of his punches. That is a Mayweather feat. Trout is one of the slickest out there.

So he was defensive against Trout because Trout couldn't hurt him, but offensive with Lopez because he also couldn't hurt him? :?

Only problem here was the open scoring. once canelo knew he was way up on the cards he focused more on defense then his offense. Fighting in spirits and not taking any chances. if you look at his pervious fights canelo is there to be hit. I don't see mayweather having any trouble hitting him.

Floyd will be landing over 60% of his punches by midway

Canelo is a limited fighter, and is not really great. This is not a good fight. And add to the fact that Canelo has trouble making 152.

When he fought Lopez he was stalking, throwing hard combinations. In doing so Lopez was getting off his own good combos and landing. With trout once the scores came in and he was way up on the cards, canelo went to a more defensive mode. Making tout miss, but in doing so he only fought in blocks here n there. Not saying his defense isn't good it's just he doesn't mix offense to defense well. When he's on the attack he's a easy target, when he's being defensive he's a hard target but he's not doing much else.

Maybe for 6-8 rounds. After that he will slow down. Floyd seems to make fighters get tired early. Well see. Will be better than Guerrero. That was a shamble. Ghost was all talk.

I think the fight will be on sided for floyd canelo will throw some pig punches that wont land or be effective the crowd will go nuts.

Floyd is going to be and control and batter canelo
