Last night was a close fight that could've gone either way- regardless of what fanboys of either say.

However, I was very impressed with the way Canelo went to the body and slowed Lara down in the middle rounds- after the 3rd round it looked like it could be heading for a Rigo-Donaire type fight.

His next opponent I'm pretty sure will be Cotto. If Canelo wins that- I think he might, just might, have the balls to fight GGG (haters said he would never fight Lara or Trout remember, but Canelo knew they was next in line).

If he fought cotto and triple g to unify a second division, that would be an absolutely incredible achievement.

I'd like to see him step up to 160 to fight Cotto.

Let's be real Canelo is struggling with the weight making and a step up is logical.

Yeah, winning a MW title against a shopworn WW would be a huge step up:patsch

I'm just jealous. I happen to be a fan of the legitimate MW Champion and he can't get anyone to fight him.:D

THE fight to make without question, is against Golovkin. Golovkin fights in August. They should set the fight for February of next year. Obviously, Golovkin has to get by Geale but, if he does, the fight that makes the most sense is Canelo-GGG. They are the same weight. Canelo might be a bit bigger at fight time but they are essentially both solid MWs. Golovkin needs to fight prime opposition now, since he is already 30.

THIS IS THE FIGHT TO BE MADE. Does Canelo have the stones?

Sadly, you are probably right. They know if that fight were to happen they would only be killing the goose laying the golden eggs.

Firstly I believe that GGG is the main man at middleweight and if Cotto is to stay at 160 he needs to fight Golovkin. If not then it would make sense for a Canelo v Cotto fight at 160.

Then if life is fair to Golovkin he could face the winner.

Could be Kirkland @160 followed by cotto for the championship.

I think if anyone will fight Golovkin it's Canelo (providing he can get past Cotto). Canelo is the one man who seems willing to fight anyone.

Not many of those about these days.
