Disappointing comeback Len, especially with all your talk about "sorting me out ".

You are obviously a bit like your mate Wee Barry, all talk.

Frampton would be taken to school by Rigo, and Santa Cruz has bigger fish to fry.

Carl has one option to secure his financial future, and that is realising that Hearn holds all the cards, and his only chance to make real money is swallowing his pride and coming to England to face Quigg.

I don't take much notice of common opponent triangulations, but Frampton and his circus have been banging on about 'A' sides and resume, and Scott knocked f**k out of Carls career defining fight in 4 minutes.

The IFL interview was comedy gold, especially Shane talking about his old man being a " Legend " and Cyclone txting Martinez and telling him how to beat Quigg !!!

Frampton is a pretty likeable guy, its a shame that the circus around him are starting to embarrass him.

Maybe Haymon should take a stance and sort out the wheat form the chaff.

Obviously sorting someone out means something more threatening where you come from shakes. You're all excited about it. 😀
I meant put you straight with a few facts. Everything you are saying is nonsense about quigg. You have a problem with facts.i don't.
Let's hope Scott gets past Jamie so you can see what I mean.
I sure hope they can get it on soon before someone else beats Scott.
I can't wait to see the look on Scott's face when Carl starts to land. Worth the wait. A combination of gormlessness and terror. Priceless. 😀

I'm a wee bit long in the tooth for name calling and posturing Len, and i never meant to sound threatening in any way shape or form, if i did then i apologise, but this whole we're better than you mentality is rubbing me up the wrong way.

Frampton is the legit belt holder, and a talented fighter, but the circus around him are a joke.

At the end of the day boxing is about money, not about belts.

Carl may have the " real " belt, but where real promotion and real money/tv money are concerned, wee Barry and co are rank amateurs.

No need to apologise. But boxing must be about talent...not bank accounts. Having richer backers won't save Scott when the bell rings.....other than not agreeing to eddies terms I can't see what team frampton are doing that is so annoying. 😀

Just seen the interview. Thought Frampton was his usual well informed, balanced self. He gave Quigg props for beating Martinez and was open and honest about his fight.

I was starting to think there may be more to the story. Up to that point I, like many, put all the issues on McGuigan.

Then Shane opened his mouth. Every time Frampton made a balanced point, Shane added some snide comment.

Gave me confidence in my original thought. McGuigan is the reason this fight is being made.

My opinion. We are all entitled to one and it becomes more informed reading (some of) the comments on the forum - pretty sure it doesn't make me small minded or jealous as previous posts infer if the interview is perceived that way.

Also petty people slating both fighters. They are both quality fighters, it will be a quality fight.........still think Quigg wins though

Is it any wonder they want nothing to do with Quigg?

Scott took 4 minutes to destroy Carl's career highlight. Must hurt badly.

I know! Quigg was getting backed up and looked like a fish trying climb a ladder!

Once Carl puts him on the back foot, that will be, sadly for Scott, the end of it.

Kiko was always an "all-or-nothing" type of fighter - either win big or lose big. Unfortunately he got off to TOO GOOD a start and then failed to show Quigg the necessary respect - cos Quigg can bang a bit.
Scott is Unlikely to catch Carl with a hay-maker though, Carl is different class. Different class. :thumbsup

I still worry about Quigg, he's looked good against the majority of his opposition, but realistically we haven't seen him when he's forced to fight over a lot of rounds against a world level operator.

He did backup in what seemed like straight lines vs Martinez in the first round, which I think felt like that because he just had zero head movement using a high-guard, still was worrying to see and he got caught a lot, obviously he was a bit wary of Martinez's power - atleast for the beginning rounds.

I don't think he has a bad chin also, but I get the feeling he's the kind of fighter who will start to get ragged once he takes quite a few shots.

On the other side Frampton was getting a bit wild vs Avalos at times, leaving himself open and I think that carried over into his last fight, so if he doesn't watch himself I could see Quigg definitely hurting him. If he fights smart I do think he will win quite comfortably as he boxes beautifully.

Hopefully this fight get's made anyway.

    Very clear, intelligent post. :thumbsup

Someone needed to make the point about Quigg not having turned in a consistently excellent 12-round performance at top level.

The Kiko win might flatter to decieve. Early-round wins - particularly by 1-punch are rarely a reliable indication of a fighters level and ability. The loser is rarely as bad as he looks and the winner is rarely as good as he looks. :deal :thumbsup

    Exactly, Len.

I enjoy watching Scott as doesn't mess around and doesn't try to "steal" a victory.

With that said I think he might be great at being the hammer, and not so great at being the nail.

Quigg fans are mad for this fight to happen. Frampton fanboi's are perfectly fine with it not happening.

That tells you everything you need to know about these casual's.
