I quite like Froch but I agree he mouths off a bit too much. I believe Dirrell deserved a close decision against Froch, as did Kessler. In other words, Froch should have two losses on his ledger rather than being undefeated as he believes he should be. And I wish he'd drop the ongoing Calzaghe obsession - deep down he must know he would have got beaten by a prime Calzaghe quite easily. Carl did stick to the gameplan well against Abraham to win every round IMO but that's something plenty of fighters could do. I'll give Carl more credit if he beats Johnson because Johnson can still be dangerous.
I agree with you, mate. For me, you have to take a title and I think Dirrell knows he didn't do that. Thanks :good
Just out of interest, mate, did you score the punches Froch landed when Dirrell was holding? Essentially the punches Froch threw when he was trying to force his way out of the clinch.
The ones where Froch had one hand free yeah..I just felt that Dirrell landed more of the cleaner shots ..An ugly fight by I gave the edge to Dirrell on clean punching .
That's fair enough. Good scoring, I think. I always get the impression a lot of people ignore those shots. To me, they were key and should be scored but I don't think a lot do, despite them being scoring punches.
I also wonder if judges score those shots as well ..I beleive any shot thrown and landed should be socred but I don't think thats always the case ..
Even if people don't score them, its effective aggression when the other guy is doing nothing but holding and yelling at the ref to make the other guy stop hitting him.
I like Froch but some of the **** he says is laughable. The guy is still calling out Calzaghe. The guy is saying that he retired Kessler even though he lost to him in that fight, and add to the fact that Kessler is returning. The guy is starting to get too big for his own boots just because he's back on Sky, got a world title back and is expected to get to the super 6 final.
