I don't see how Chavez would bring in huge money for him though. He's got a big following, but would the PPV numbers be that huge?
Yeah but Carl gave the young fighter the chance he just didnt do it twice and Carl never got the chance from Joe, Groves did beat Degale too. it ended up like he probably should have fought Degale since he had nobody else but I would have let him away with another decent fighter, if the Ward fights gets made then you cant complain. The Chavez situation is a joke though if he waits all this time to fight him theres no defending it
Yes, but with an English referee and judge, one from Europe or maybe Asia, and one from the US. Don't forget the two almighty back-to-back wars Froch was involved in against Pascal and Taylor (in the US) during the previous ten month period prior to the start of the Super Six, too. Ward was having it all his own way against undemanding opposition during that period. He toughest out came against a past it Edison Miranda and even that was 119-109 type decision on two of the judges cards (of course there was plenty of holding from Ward to limit the amount of punishment he took too). Remember when Ward complained about how tough the tournament had been on him? Well Froch fought In the ten month period leading up to the Super Six: Pascal (at home) - grueling war Taylor (away) - grueling war During the tournament: Dirrell (at home) Kessler (away) - grueling war Abraham (away) Johnson (away) - war-ish, Froch took plenty of flush hard clean wallops again (and that fight was definitely closer than a couple of the judges had it. Quite a lot had it a draw on the RBR on here IRCC) Ward (away) - took a lot of punishment again. And then he fought Bute in his next fight after that despite having been through a very grueling series of fights, many of which on the road, where he took an awful lot of punishment along the way. And he had to overcome the disappointment of suffering a pair of demoralizing defeats too. Conversely, Ward had only really been involved in one fight that could be deemed a Froch-esque type war, against Bika. And he'd also had home advantage for all of his fights too. His previous eight fights prior to the final were all in his home state of California. Froch is the one who had it tough, not Ward. Much tougher. In short, he's a complete c*nt. I could go into more detail but I can't be bothered right now. I've addressed it all before anyway, numerous times. Besides I can't be bothered to get into it with any of his sh*t-brained stupid huggers either :good
Hard to say and even if they were to fight one day we don't know what the Golovkin beating has taken out of Murray. Golovkin is a Good Boy Killer. Taking beatings of him is seriously bad for your health.
The legacy stuff does my head in too. lol [YT]Jpq_ZAhbRwU[/YT] Degale would've caused him major problems, IMO. Bad style match up for him, especially more so at this stage of his career. :good
:huh You don't think those cities are neutral? How odd. And there was me thinking you were English all this time but you actually come from this Sheffield. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheffield,_Alabama
Ward is getting kind of predictable. When he was told to get it on with Froch by the upper forces of the boxing industry, we all knew he would start to mess about. What we've heard from his camp so far, is that "Froch ain't the A-side", then Ward kept on with his crusade of selling tune up fights against no namers to the TV-networks Everyone who have the bad fortune to have business interests riding on Wards course of actions must be seriously freaking out. From the sideline it all comes of as pretty funny, though.
I just noted the similarities with Joe C. I know you can't do a direct comparison. I don't think a Ward rematch will happen. But if it does, there's two things consider: 1. Ward will more than likely want a tune up first. 2. It would be a bigger fight if Carl had two belts instead of one. It seems to me that he didn't fancy DeGale at this stage, and he's looking for an easier fight. But he does deserve to pick and choose at this stage. It's his prerogative. But I'm not buying that he dropped the belt, to fight a bigger fight. Because he keeps mentioning Chavez, and I don't see how that's bigger than DeGale. It's not a legacy fight at all. It'll just be a payday in the U.S.
He's always been predictable, well since I've been following his career. He wants everything his own way all the time and he gets all sulky and will hurl his toys out off the pram if doesn't get it and if anyone dares to pull him up on it. Thing is he gets every f*cking thing his way all the time and yet still he cries and plays the victim.
Have they got a football/soccer team that I could support that are better than Sheff Wednesday? My guess is yes.
