CARL FROCH - Opinions

So on here we see some laughable hate of fighters, and so much hypocrisy I think some people just need to find reasons to put down every fighter bar one or two of their favs

But anyway onto Froch, not the quickest, not the greatest but I wanna hear from those who geniuinely disklike him, or dont rate himat all, exactly what it is you hate about him cause despite his flaws I think he deserves as much respect as fighter currently for these reasons, please respond to each point if you disagree

1. Has done things the hard way compared to some UK fighters.

Not being promoted by Warren, Froch hasn't had the luxury of big exposure, big money. But has done things the right way in winning the British Title then European title. He then beat Pascal in a war, defended title in the US with no UK tv , followed by Super 6 , now whatever way you think the fights went is irelevant, i dont care if fighters lose some here fights as long as they prove they can mix it with the best consistently, so Dirrell, Kessler, Abraham ( 2 away from home ) means his level of competition cant be questioned

2. His trash talking of calzaghe for years

If it was the other way round calzaghe wouldve done the same. Calzaghe was the biggest fight for Froch ( and the biggest payday ! ) , Froch wasnt world level, he needed Calzaghe. Same way Witter called out Hatton for years, same way Bradley has called out Pacquaio, same way all heavyweights will call out Haye and the Klits, i could go on.

P.S. I dont think Froch wouldve beat Calzaghe

3. His boxing ability

Now if you hate on Froch cause you dont rate him as a boxer now thats a joke. If some he has flaws but can still be successful then that deserves respect not hate. Especially if your success isnt built on a padded record, and years of hometown defences against average opposition.
Boxing would be pretty boring if it was only made up of technical geniuses, superb defences etc



Now i dont think Froch will beat Ward, I think he will beat Johnson if he sticks to a good gameplan but thats not a gimme fight in any shape or form, but I think in this sport he warrants a lot of credit for getting where he has gotten and as a UK fighter, doing that without Warren is even more difficult

he is the man, came up the hard way, no promotional help nothing, might not be a textbook boxer but has the skills as good as any of the top level super middleweights.

 

I like Froch. I've always rated him highly (since his win over Pascal which was the first time I saw him fight)

right now, I have him in the top3 at 168.

I think Froch has a better cv than Ward in terms of last 5 fights, but I rate Ward as the better fighter and obviously Ward would be higher because he beat Kessler and Froch didnt

 

My top 3 is Ward, Bute and Froch in that order.

I used to think he was crazy calling out Calzaghe, it was an almost certain loss for him as far as I'm concerned, but it does show, as well as his recent opposition, that he will fight anyone, anywhere. So the guy has my complete respect. Especially when you watch him box, he looks goofy and easy to beat, but he's far from it. If guts alone could win you fights, Froch would never lose.
I think Ward will beat him to be honest, but Ward will have the toughest fight he's ever had. We'll see what Ward is made of if they fight.

I dont like him but i respect what hes doing now and the way hes doing it. I still think hes a twat though.

what the hell has bute done that he could ever possibly rank above froch?

 

Bute has 4 wins over top10 SMWs (ring mag), 2 of them very dominant KO's while he was ahead on the scorecards.
