It's very difficult not to favour him against Bute, but I haven't written Bute off. I think he's a very good fighter and I think he is capable of adapting, even if he ends up getting chazwazzered again. Kessler, to me, it's still a complete tossup, despite Froch seeming to have gone beyond him with his demolishing Bute, and rightfully being rated higher at the weight, for now. Ward, completely rational to believe outclasses Froch again, but I wouldn't mind a rematch in the slightest.
Froch proved many wrong as they thought he was close to done when in reality he's just getting started. Gotta love what this guy does to represent boxing. Hardwork, determination, and getting at that 2nd chance at Ward. He knows what to expect from the best which is Ward its up to Froch to now to push himself to get to that level. Ward needs someone to compete with him and it seems he has no dancing partners. And Froch really wants to be the best and he knows in order to do that he has to go thru Ward.
I'm going to go a bit off topic, but check this out: Ward: Fought everybody; Froch: Fought everybody, and wants to do it again; Kessler: Fought Calzaghe, beat Froch, returned after nearly losing his eyesight; Pavlik: Had choice between Rodriguez and Ward, either one on HBO, chose Ward; Magee: Fights pretty much anybody, anytime, anyplace; Bika: Bat**** crazy, fought Calzaghe, Bute, Ward, and is usually exciting. A few years ago Arum said, "Supermiddleweight is becoming what middleweight was in the old days. Arum was right. How awesome would boxing be if every division had the warriors we have at '68?
That WBA title doesn't really do anything for Ward except cost him sanctioning fees. I imagine he'll vacate if it gets in the way of something better.
:yep We've had a hell of a handful of years there. 2006-2012 has seen two dominant champions in the top p4p of the sport, several unifications and some very nice titlists.
Rather he'd take on Bute and Kessler, if successful, move up to lhw and get a belt there. Easiest option and most money is Cleverly, but Dawson would be interesting. Two weight world champ then retiring.

Carl Froch is the true definition of warrior in this era of Boxing. The man fights anyone you put opposite him and he will seek out fights with the very best. If you don't at least respect Carl Froch then you're not a Boxing fan IMO.
I think the opinion is rightfully unanimous here; Froch is a warrior. Unlike all these other duck stories you hear all too often, there's no messing around with Froch. I reckon he'll do a number on Bute and Kessler in rematches and then lose a decision to Ward. You'd have to be foolish to believe Froch wasn't properly prepared for him the 1st time round. The guy is a consumate professional and to have won the super 6 would have been colossal for him - Froch was 100% ready for Ward, it's just unfortunate for him that Ward is the elite of the elite right now.
