Sky now seem to only bring on new commentators who are or were Matchroom fighters. That’s the problem, think of talented pundits they could get who are non Matchroom, Who have charisma and know boxing people like Hatton, Fury, Haye and Benn. Least some of these guys would tell it straight.
I think Froch's commentary is good... He is a fighter and a fan, and he gets excited... When he comes out with things like "I'm on the edge of my seat" the cnut gets me on the edge of mine! Bring back Ian Darke i say, and pair him with Froch, the commentary would be better than the fight... Darke KOs froch hands down...
Boot Jim Watt to utter **** and get Paulie in full time. Listen to them together during the Joshua Whyte fight. One is full of tired clichés and nothing statements, the other is analysing the fight and commenting on how each fighter could improve their standing durimg the fight by making adjustments. I like froch but of course he is a terrible commentator But I like watching him in general. The way he postures and pulls faces makes me laugh.
He's worse than what Jim Watt ever was. I remember an IFL interview with Eddie Hearn in the last 18 months or so where he admitted that Froch rang him up a day or two before shows for research purposes so it's hardly surprising the crap he comes out with if he's using Hearn as his guide.
