Carl Johanesson vs Leva Kirakosyan

Yorkshire... Yorkshire... Yorkshire...

I am getting more exited about this fight than any other recently.

 

Yorkshire:good You off to fight mate? From Barnsley is handy for you, it was originally in leeds town hall and i was going to go dunno why it changed.

 

I would have gone to leeds for this one. I am going tonight and i do not know why they changed it especially after all the fuss they made about bringing live boxing back to leeds at the last fight.

 

Johansson looked superb last time out. I too fancy him to avenge the loss. His constant pressure bares testiment to the effort he must put into his training, and he could be someone going on to much bigger and better things.

 

I'm in America, so i can't see the fight. When it starts, can someone please post round-by-round updates. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

He's got heart that's for sure but that was absolutely brutal.

shiiiiiiiiit he lost, i havent even seen the fight but he got stopped in the forth

 

how was the fight close? one sided?

 

I've just got back from the pub, thoroughly disappointed.

He couldn't cope with the uppercut at all. Just dodging a few of them and he might've been fine later on as Kirakosyan went out at a hell of a pace and I reckon he would've struggled later. Never mind, he's still young enough to learn.

 

Pretty one-sided to be honest.

Close first round, both standing head to head with Kirakosyan's superior speed taking the round.

Second round, Carl got KD'd from a nice shot near the end of the round that bloodied his nose.

Third round he got knocked down twice more but threw a few nice shots in the last minute.

Fourth he ate a nasty right uppercut and was struggling to get to his feet when the ref waved it off.

 

I think "Bugger" sums this fight outcome up pretty well.

 

johanneson looked terrified. complete contrast to the domestic fights i've seen him in when he's totally bullied and dominated his opponents. this time he was clearly frightened of his opponents power and this reduced his own offensive capability - it looked like he didn't want to put everything into his punches cos he thought he'd get countered and with that frame of mind lost before the fight had started
