I loved that fight. Haye just unloads everything, and then in the 2nd is sucking air. For real dude? You seriously thought you could KO a guy in a round

And Thompson's made of goddamn iron, took all his shots, comes back, and then just starts unloading on the kid. "What mother****er? You really thought you had me beat?"

I've honestly never seen anyone take so many hard, clean and flush shots from a known hard hitter, and still be standing there, barely dazed, only to come back to win the fight. Amazing.

Also, I noticed Haye waving Thompson in right before the stoppage atsch

 

Yup, great quote. And it's 100% true, there was never a dull moment with Carl Thompson in the ring.

 

regardless of any chin questions that showed haye has the heart of a lion. he was utterly done, out on his feet, but still egged the man on. He's got to get props as a warrior just like carl

I don't know about that, I mean I'm a Haye fan, but the waving Thompson in stuff seemed half-hearted to me.

 

Carl Thompson should come back again and try to win a CW title.

 

That's the type of fight the HW division needs. No wonder so many people are backing Haye for support against Wladimir. I really like the way Haye fights, I just don't like his mouth.

 

I remember how impressed i was with Eubank in both fights against Thompson, Eubank was past his best and moved up to fight a much bigger guy, still Eubank looked the better boxer, i recall he was looking really good in the rematch but it was stopped for some reason??

Ive been saying this since i first saw Haye fight as an amateur.At times it seems he's only interested in his image and ego.He started to show some humility after he was embarrassed by Thompson,but it didn't last long and after a couple of wins he was back trash talking again.I hope Wlad embarrasse's him first then knocks him out cold.:good

 

Funny how Wlad and Haye have VERY similar losses to Brewster and Thompson.

 

What was up with Duke McKenzie with his shocked "that was a genuine knockdown!!", as if Carl Thompson dropping a 10 fight novice was suprising :rofl.
