Finally one of the Argentine TV scorers (there's two of them) gave Kerefov a round, oddly enough the closest one.

Veron finally found the proper range, got in close, looping his left hook around the guard almost dragging Timur into an uppercut repeatedly, now he's forearms to forearms, ripping uppercuts to the head and body.

 

I'm shocked the TV judge didn't give Veron a 10-8.5 round for that one.

Veron picked up where he left off, now switching stances, luring him in, countering his reckless combos, then pressing forward in the second half of the round, landing left hook uppercuts to the ribs and straight rights down the middle, his strongest round.

 

What the ****, the TV judge dod give Kerefov Veron's best round and they didn't switch it this time.

Veron is now bursting with confidence, blocking and slipping the jabs and straight lefts, marching forward like a machine landing straight rights, left hooks, uppercuts everywhere, Timur starting to get beat up now.

Timur realizing this match was starting to slip away from him, made the proper and adjustment and started bring the pressure and punches in bunches, nw with Veron taking on the role of the counter puncher. Both men had their moments, but for Timur, more of them.

Veron had a decent bounce back round, with him staying at range and landing long rights and compact three punch combos down the middle, Timur came back late, but not close to enough to steal it.

Timur giving it his all, but his shots keep falling short and Veron keeps tagging him with three pieces, and sitting down on most of them.

Close round, with both men standing in close quarters letting their fists fly, Timur landing some eye catching and head snapping punches, but the output and accuracy of the combinatins from Veron too high for him to overcome.

Thankfully I can report, while a close fight certainly, there was no hometown cooking in this match.

 

One Argentine TV judge has it 97-93 Veron, the other clearly biased one, has it 99-91 Veron.
