I think these placements are questionable at best: 7: Cerdan 13:Hopkins 15:RoyJones (Above Dick Tiger, Freddie Steel, Holman Williams...why?) 16ick Tiger 18:Freddie Steel So not to bad for placements, especially as it was made in 2005. The guys who are missing: Holman Williams Jack Dempsey Ezzard Charles Strange to see some of the names who have made it on above of these. Not to bad overall.
Oh god, I missed out Jack Dempsey. That´s a bad one. Very bad. Charles too but somehow I don´t see him as a mw that´s not that bad but Dempsey ... I feel ashamed.
Carlos Monzon was, in my opinion, the greatest of middleweight champs...as I have steadfastly maintained over the years.
Ward makes up fo rit in technical acumen, defensie ability and genuine skills. IU was responding to a specific claim.
At last...someone else making that observation...I have said this before...it's a superficial sort of resemblance but there is similarity.
Another similarity between Monzon and the Klitschko brothers is that both of them divide the opinion on how great they truly are. Some think they get by with size, some think they have underlying skill. I guess it would be fair to say that there is truth to both views. Their physical advantages help a lot, but one needs more than just size to dominate for a number of years, even if the level of opposition isn't of the highest standard.
Why isnt he? Griffith IMO should be top 20, even if just for his win over Dick Tiger who at very least is top 10. He also has two very solid wins over the very underrated Joey Archer. Hagler's best performance was not Hearns, he was past it by then. The Sibson fight was superb and IMO his best display. For Monzon, I would say Griffith I is a good systematic breakdown of a fighter but the Benvenuti fight is a very good display of his boxing and easy to watch for someone who does not like his style as it is a good fight. You sure? Not normally reknowned as a good fight, I enjoyed it well enough though. I do not get why people do not like his style. H is very effective, I appreciate that. What fight did you watch? Griffith achieved way more than Jones Jr at Middleweight, and arguably McCoy and Fullmer. Espeically if Tiger was ranked properly IMO.
That's ur opinion and I respect that but to walk through bombs of one of the hardest punchers of all time and knock him out like that was incredible. Yes I know Hearns didn't have much of a chin but Hagler went through hell in an epic fight. I agree that Sibson was a great display but I like the Hearns fight much more. To answer your question I watched his first fight with Nino & the Licata fight. I'm not fascinated by him he just seems unbearable to watch imo. Again, much respect to your opinion but this is how I feel.
Lol, okay. At some point we all will view certain things slightly different so what I may like or dislike, you may like or dislike. Much respect.
