McClellan had heavier hands, broader shoulders and longer leverages than Benn, he was a MUCH bigger man than Benn and Jackson; entering 160lb title fights at 180+ and remaining chiseled!
Only moved up to chase Eubank. He could still make 160. Took him years to grow into super-middle, weights and supps etc
Aww I don't know, he stood Michael on his head for the first nine rounds until his legs cramped in the 10th. Benn beat him at Old Trafford, too fast for him being so much lighter.
Eubank has a top chin, awesome power and decent speed. He could throw wicked uppercuts and was an accurate counter puncher. His biggest flaws were a reluctance to lead, being very hittable, having mediocre stamina and having horrendous balance. Monzón would out-do Eubank at what Eubank did best, and take advantage of his weaknesses. Chris ain't breaking Monzón's chin, so he's not winning. He's definitely not out-boxing him.
I love Watson, but I thought he won it 7-5 (iirc) and I thought he was absolutely schooling him in the rematch, and on the brink of stopping him in the 11th. I don't watch the 12th round.
He was also scared to death of McCallum, Nunn, and Toney. McCallum showed what a REAL technician could do to Michael Watson. Not some fake poser.
One thing Eubank wasn't was hittable, other than the second Watson fight up-close, in which he says he simply gave up in the sixth because Watson had walked through all his best punches. Incredible reflexes. However he was hittable when made to chase around the ring and miss, stumbling around due to his high hips structure.
Scared to death of Nunn after being in with Benn? Don't make me laugh. He wanted McCallum initially going into 1990. He told the Boston Globe that he'd 'beat McCallum in five and Collins in two' when ringside for their fight. So he wasn't scared to death of Mike, who took that terrific warmup with durable novice Collins for the big Watson fight, knowing that Watson would now be extremely rusty after the initial postponement.
I recall Eubank scoring a clear knockdown against Collins in the second round of their first fight that the referee didn't count, jumping in between them.
Julian jackson is bigger puncher than benn no question about it. Jackson is the pfp hardest puncher ever with heavy hands like 2 hammers, one single punch clean knock out
