Benn scored dozens of brutal knockouts. McClellan hit heavier than Benn because he was 20lb heavier.

Jackson definitely did hit harder than Benn at least with single shots, Jackson KO'd world class fighters like Norris and Graham with one punch. Who did Benn KO with one punch who was world class?

Benn Stopped many of the bums he fought on the way up with one punch but that dried up when his opposition stepped up.

Pure power alone doesn't cause a one-punch knockout - speed accuracy timing can (which Julian had in abundance). Benn was crude by comparison, and Quinones, DeWitt, Barkley and Eubank had the best chins in boxing pretty much. He knocked out Robbie Sims for the first time in his career. Didn't load up against S Williams like he did T Williams. And moved up to super-middle at the same time the day-before weigh-ins came in, purely to chase Eubank (Benn had no problem making 160 still), so he was fighting guys coming down from 190+lb and out-weighing him in the ring by 15+lb.

You don't think he'd send Graham's or Norris' heads into the fourth row if given a free shot? Watch those first 22 fights again! He wouldn't get a free shot obviously, he didn't set up or counter anywhere near as well as Julian. A rough diamond was Benn. He improved after Watson, wailing away at arms and gloves mindlessly til exhausted, but didn't ever become cute!

It wasn't just the opposition, it was mostly the size difference. 6ft4 Lenzie Morgan and former cruiser Lou Gent were no better than Tim Williams or David Noel.

Even guys like Malinga, Galvano and Giminez were light-heavy champions in their home countries beforehand. Piper was a light-heavy. Benn struggled for years to grow into super-middle.

'I met Roy Jones in 2001 and asked him if he had said in 93 that the only fighter who would give him trouble was Chris Eubank. He said yes. I don't recall any of my critics saying much about that.' - Senior

Benn was a fearsome puncher at 160, but I only remember a couple of one punch KO`s of his and neityer was as devastating as Jackson`s KO`s over Graham and Norris, catching Norris took savvy and hand speed, McCallum who stopped Jackson in two rounds at 154 after being badly wobbled said Julian had faster hands than anyone he ever fought, including Roy Jones.

Norris was a light middle, I was speaking about Jackson`s power p4p, even though the Graham KO was awesome.

Monzon might have been cut-prone, but nobody ever landed against him enough to cut him. I don't think I've even seen him puffy.

If Monzon just steamed in trying to force a stoppage from bell to bell, Eubank would cut him to shreds with those sharp counters if he was still standing after a few rounds. That wasn't Monzon's style!

None of those shots were placed on the point of the jaw or temple.... It's power.
